Thank God this fascist-friendly constitutional amendment was defeated again.

Did you know that they ban flag-burning in Cuba too? North Korea and China too and I wouldn't be surprised that most of the the Islamist-fascist Middle East countries frown on flag-burners, in fact they probably shoot flag-burners on sight and ask questions laters.

It'll be a sad day for America if this country ever passes an Ammendment to outlaw flag-burning. Sad day for free-speech!

To think that there have been only four instances of flag burning or vandalism this year and 13 instances in 2005. WOW! Our Stars and Stripes really needs protecting from these massive mobs!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Tuesday defeated by one vote an effort to change the Constitution to let Congress ban flag desecration, rejecting a politically charged issue backed by conservatives for the second time in a month.

The 66-34 vote fell just short of the two-thirds needed to pass a constitutional amendment and send it on to the states for ratification. The House of Representatives approved the amendment last year.

The Senate this month rejected a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, another vote that Democrats characterized as an attempt to rally conservative voters in an election year.
