Why untranslated? Or you are concerned about the news of Russia? In Canada, censorship? Snowden has officially asked for political asylum in Russia today, July 12, 2013. And the speaker of the Russian parliament Naryshkin just said - Russia will provide Snowden political asylum.

No I just don't understand:

You write:"I would also like to know why are you posting untranslated Russian news?" If the news is translated, there is a suggestion - you are concerned about the news from Russia? On this question - Censorship in Canada?

No, it's because 99% of this forum doesn't speak or read Russian, so your link is completely worthless. It's also a forum rule to post in English.

Imagine living in a country where you have to ask Russia for asylum after exposing the government's violations against their own people's constitutional rights.

Yeah, when Canada won't even take you and you have to resort to Russia, you really know you screwed the pooch. Ah well, could be worse, North Korea could have granted him asylum.

The people who are really screwed is us, the American people. We should have risen up and demanded that our government honor our constitutional rights, their constitutional limits and their oaths of office. Snowden shouldn't be in hiding politicians should be hanging from trees.

We did that, albeit for crappy reasons, back in the 1800s, it was called the Civil War. Since then we've allowed the federal government to take unto itself powers not granted and to ignore virtually any limits placed upon it by constitution. Now we're ruled by a court, not constitution (the Constitution says whatever the court determines it says).

As for Snowden, it's the risk you take knowingly when you decide to release classified information without authorization. Perhaps you'll be a hero and be protected by the hubbub surrounding your revelation, perhaps it'll go the other way. If the risk is worth it to you, then take the action. But whining about it later isn't part of the deal. Martyrs aren't allowed to whine.

The constitution was dead the minute the scum sucking lawyers set the precedence that the constitution is subject to contemporary jurisprudence.

What is even worse is that history is re-written by the victors, now the liberals even teach that CJ was in the FFs design for a "living document".

you forget that most of the founding fathers were Lawyers.

CJ is a new concept that did not even exist when the constitution was written.

Ever wonder why the constitution is just 4 pages? If it were written today it would be as thick as a dozen phone books.

Re: Edward Snowden just asked politicheskogo убежище in Russia

The Founding Fathers were businessmen, scholars, scientists, aristocrats, public speakers, writers, soldiers, etc. Lawyers as we know them today did not exist.

That said, bring out the tar and feathers for the current government. It's well past time.
