Not everyone is "feeling the 'Bern' " , apparently, in this case, citing his absence for many votes crucial to his constituents, and his affection for media attention:

Editorial Board Of Vermont Paper Begs Bernie Sanders Not To Run In 2020

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) may be mulling a run for president, but the editorial board of one of his home state’s newspapers is asking him not to.

In an op-ed published Saturday in the Barre Montpelier Times Argus titled “Don’t run,” members of the board said “we beg him” to avoid throwing his hat in the ring for 2020.

“That is an unfavorable opinion, especially among most Vermonters and progressives who support the platform that has come to define him,” the board acknowledged. “But at this point, there are more things about another Sanders run at the White House that concern us than excite us.” One of the board’s gripes with Sanders, the writers noted, was that during his 2016 presidential run, he was absent dozens of times for votes on key matters they felt were important to his constituents.

Bernie has been an extremely ineffective senator. The guy is a fraud. He throws out ludicrous proposals that are politically impossible in the United States, and he gets little to anything he supports ever actually passed into law. Moreover, no one as far to the left as Bernie has ever been elected president. He would go down in a general election just like Mondale, Dukakis, or McGovern did. His supporters like to point out his polling numbers in the spring of 2016. So what, Dukakis polled nearly 30 points ahead of Bush Sr. in the Summer of 1988 only to go down in a landslide that November. The same thing would happen to Bernie. Bernie lost the primaries by millions of votes and his supporters argue that it was stolen from him. He lost the primary vote by over 10%. It wasn't stolen from him, he could not even win a majority of Democrats. Furthermore, most of the candidates he backed in 2018 lost as well.

Bernie is too old, as is Biden and Trump for that matter.
