You still can’t acknowledge that list of people are working at jobs that don’t count as “employed” (contract workers, gig economy workers), started small businesses, and two income families that became one income families, adapted to the income change and decided to just keep it that way.

So that accounts for a bunch of folks not “employed”. Some just no longer counted and others just more the way it was when I was growing up.

The numbers from the BLS regarding individuals are based on their "Household Survey" and then are seasonally adjusted and combined with another month.

If those surveyed don't believe that they are employed, then those surveyed don't believe they are employed.

If you are asserting that many people don't know what they are doing, you will get no argument from me.
