Covid: Dutch crisis as court orders end to Covid curfew

Judges ordered the measure removed immediately but it will remain in place pending an appeal.

The Government’s curfew order limiting movement in the Netherlands after 8pm has been ruled illegal by a Dutch court. The decision was based on a couple of things, the lack of a curfew in earlier times when there was less medical capacity, the idea of coronavirus not being a true emergency, and the violation of a right to travel.


I’m not sure how Dutch courts are structured and if there will be appeals or whatnot, but I’m always happy to see officials begin to take a stand against this technocratic medico-fascism.
