I have seen a few times where people have tried to knock Dungeons and Dragons as something "silly" or "harmful." I would like to include an excerpt from author Bill Savicsek:
D&D promotes teamwork and socialization. It teaches math and reading skills (I might add also some very basic physics skills). It encourages creativity and imaginative problem solving. It's uplifting, inspirational and thought provoking. And it's fun. You sit in the same room with other people, socialize, and create amazingly deep fantasy worlds in which good battles evil on a regular basis and good usually wins in the end. What could be better than that?
