im thinkin about gettin a DSLR, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

im lookin at 4 or 5 different models right now, all under the 1000 dollar mark. im lookin for straight up high-res (8+ MP) stuff, something with alot of focus and speed options, some kind of sensor cleaning contraption, and as many cool features as you can jam in there.

so far im lookin at:

Sony's brand new entry level DSLR-A100, made with Konica-Minolta technology, 10.2 mp, crapload of features and a brand new line of lenses and zoooms and such. also works with Minoltas Maxxum line of lenses

the Olympus Evolt E500 - cheapest thing out there - 8 mp i believe, basic DSLR

Canon's EOS Digital Rebel XTi - self explanatory

Nikons D80 - on the expensive side, great lenses available, 10.2 mp

this is one of the biggest decisions ive ever made (second only to picking out a college), which is actually pretty depressing. anyone got any suggestions?

Two of my friends have the Canon, based on my advice, and absolutely love it. You could be number three. ;)
