Fact checks are done by far left liberals
A lot of people around here seem to think they know about medicine than Dr. Oz (an actual doctor).
Some info on HCQ for covid:
Seems that it does help somewhat. Read the studies if you can, and want to judge for yourself.
Not really, it's part of this site which has data for a large number of treatments:An HCQ site hawking HCQ.
Imagine that.

COVID-19 early treatment: real-time analysis of 3,599 studies

No one has a motivation to hawk everything.
And there's no real money to be made on HCQ, Ivermectin, and many other cheap meds and supplements, unlike the very high profit margins for things like remdesevir, convalescent plasma, and vaccines.
There is some money to be made because, despite the low profit margins, those things are used on sizable scale around the world for conditions other than covid. By contrast, the profit margins for things like remdesivir and vaccines are much higher, and using them for many covid patients would lead to very high total profits. Have a look at what the covid vaccine did for Pfizer's annual revenue (doubled it from 2020 to 2021):Serving shit on a bigger plate doesn't change that it's shit.
Yes, and?
If there is no money in making HCQ, Ivermectin, and many other cheap meds and supplements why is BIG PHARMA producing HCQ, Ivermectin, and many other cheap meds and supplements?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

The left celebrates getting rid of people like Oz while cheering on the appointments of gender delusional transvestites that promote their perverted Marxist agenda onto children as young as 3 years old.
Yeah...leftists probably arent exactly the best judges of character and ideology here....
The patent for ivermectin expired many years ago, so there are many companies that manufacture it and the profit margin is low. Ivermectin sales did jump because of the pandemic.Yes? And SO WHAT? Pfizer came out with a product that people wanted because it worked.
Things like ivermectin were being produced cheaply. Development costs are zero and the factories are already producing.
Imagine the profit selling to India alone. 1.4 Billion people at a few dollars a dose. Multiple doses as I recall per treatment. Even more if used as a prophylactic. Yet the people who created ivermectin does not recommend it for COVID. No one save for Ivermectin hawkers and the such suggest its use.

So you have medical expertise? You're qualified to read all the papers on HCQ and ivermectin and have done so? You seem very confident in your opinion, to the point of calling people with a different opinion 'idiots'.So what? BILLIONS and BILLIONS of doses world wide would add up quickly. Very quickly. Like money hand over fist. Do you not understand the math?
Because of idiots believing it was effective for COVID sucking down horse paste to the point vets and animal owners couldn't get it.

Can you show what the patient population that was studied? We need a breakdown in BMI and co-morbidities to assesss risk for significant covid disease. Not really, it's part of this site which has data for a large number of treatments:

You would need to read through the HCQ (and ivermectin) studies to get the details. Very few people have done that. The FLCCC docs are credible, and they currently including ivermectin in the protocols, but not HCQ (it used to be in their protocols, but apparently replaced with ivermectin). https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/Can you show what the patient population that was studied? Many previous "early treatment" studies that have been shown on this board SPECIFICALLY excluded the very populations that were most likely to have severe covid disease .
We had a poster who was promoting herself and her family as proof of it;s efficacy. She had it prescribed by her PMD. I asked her if her husband and children were healthy otherwise. Yes. Young adults and children with no co morbidities were significantly likely to have mild covid illness. She insisted on the "fact" that HCQ was why she and her family only had mild illness --- when in fact statistically she and her family were never likely to have severe covid illness.
Correlation does not equal causation.
There's no consensus in the medical establishment, and views keep changing. No one needs "medical expertise" to do the math.
No one needs "medical expertise" to read the articles showing Ivermectin has failed in real world use and in controlled testing.
The people who are qualified have read them and have concluded Ivermectin does not work.
It was tried in real life widespread usage in India and Peru. Both rejected it.
My opinion is shared by the medical community. Not the snake-oil salesmen.
And idiots describes people overdosing on horse medication perfectly. Do you not agree?
I'll let someone else do the research for me:
Dr. Oz Has Peddled Scams for Years. No Wonder He Wants to Run for Senate.
Unfortunately, the televised huckster would be well suited for the campaign trail, if not actually a Senate seat.newrepublic.com
He appears to be more a "TV fame" doctor than a good one. If you want to believe in him and trust someone like that, go for it. Have you ever even watched his show? Lol he's a quack.

There's no consensus in the medical establishment, and views keep changing.
I would not like to label people who are scared or desperate as being 'idiots'. That is unfair and unkind.
Covid is serious disease that has killed and harmed a lot of people, and the medical establishment has lacked options for prevention and early treatment (other than vaccines), so it's understandable that people will explore options that are not promoted by the medical establishment.
Your saying these things anonymously in a political debate forum doesn't make them so ...By your reasoning there is no consensus that the world is round.
Sucking Ivermectin paste intended for horses.....
Think for a moment.
That would be either massive ignorance or intentional dishonesty at work.
Treatment protocols were constantly updated as information came available.
Ivermectin and HCQ were tested and used in the real world AND IT DID NOT WORK.
What would their motivation be to promote use of ivermectin?
One of our family doctors is a specialist in diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions which stump other doctors. He has extensive clinical experience using ivermectin, reviewed all the research related to use of ivermectin for covid, and has been prescribing it for that use.
He knows 100x more about this than anyone posting in these DP threads, and he's not a shill for anything.
95K posts in 8 years, I know your type. No thank you from me, I'm a busy guy.Don't care. They have been proven wrong.
Really.
Laughably incorrect.
