Dot.com bubble

The dot.com boom created many overnight millionaires. Then then the bubble bursted and one time millionaires and computer engineers are now broke and working at Fry's electronics. How did this economic disaster happen? :confused:


Any thoughts and theories are welcome.

Speculation. Same thing going on in the housing market today

PC's became cheaper, more people got PC's, more people learned how to code and make websites and used the internet more efficiently, more people try to make money off of it.
Or maybe I am wrong and its something totally different, I dont know the politics of this event
 
nah it was basically speculation. Too many epople would invset in startup companies that would literally do nothing. The telecom bust occured because people would invest in new companies and existing technologies. However, supply overtook demand and thus the bubble burst.
