Register and vote in every election. There are more of us than there are of them in almost any issue. This shite has just gotten very real for millions of people that never thought about it before.

it's gonna take a lot of young people getting involved (which they will now) and a lot of old people passing away before our country progresses again.

Uhm you do know the left owns the presidency, house and senate right, and the guy who takes a shower with his daughter just said he won't increase the Supreme Court.

We're in a race against time. The Republicans are creating a shadow system in which they can call votes into question and block certification of results. This year's midterms are the trial run; 2024 is the real rollout.

Przybyla obtained video recordings of GOP operatives assembling a disturbing multipronged network of party loyalists that could cause chaos on Election Day. She documents evidence of four different networks being created:

1. Poll workers steeped in 2020 election fraud conspiracy theories who are being trained to contest votes, especially in Democrat-heavy areas.

2. GOP lawyers who the poll workers can quickly connect with to document alleged voter fraud.

3. “Party-friendly district attorneys who could intervene to block vote counts at certain precincts.”

4. “Installing party loyalists on the Board of Canvassers, which is responsible for certifying the election, also appears to be part of the GOP strategy.”

You don’t have to be an expert on election administration to understand the havoc that this attempted partisan takeover of vote-counting and certifying could create.

“This is completely unprecedented in the history of American elections that a political party would be working at this granular level to put a network together,” NICK PENNIMAN, founder and CEO of Issue One, an election watchdog group, told Przybyla. “It looks like now the Trump forces are going directly after the legal system itself, and that should concern everyone.”

Since when are baby's born conservative?

Think about it - why do you think their side is so virulently anti-baby and pro-abortion? ;)
I am still confused by the fact when it comes to guns they "care about the children "

But when it comes to abortions it appears the left can't murder " the children " fast enough.

I'm good, the SC(r)OTUS did it for me yesterday.

In the current climate unless you have a filibuster proof majority it kinda doesn’t matter that you own the presidency and have majorities in both houses.

As to increasing the size of the court that’s as stupid an idea as overturning RvW.

Obama had a super majority and didn't sign abortion into law not to mention not raising the federal minimum wage

Maybe you should ask yourself why five REPUBLICAN Justices supported the original 7 - 2 Roe vs Wade decision in 1973. Also do some research on how most Republicans and most Protestant religious leaders also supported the Roe vs Wade decision in the early 1970s. Better yet, do some research on how the Christian Coalition took over the Republican Party in the late 1970s.

Roe vs Wade was a CONSERVATIVE decision and it was the CORRECT decision -- keep the Federal government out of the private lives of women.

You've been a victim of GOP Taliban propaganda your entire adult life and you're simply not smart enough to understand that.

It's a legitimate concern.

My take is that it has nothing to do with children and everything to do with power and control - and the fear that governs both. The "children" are just pawns - to be moved or sacrificed strategically.

Like he's in charge of anything 🤣

Is it? I kind of feel like the Democrats should do something to counter the extremism of the GOP Taliban.

After all, Moscow Mitch stole two Supreme Court seats from the Democrats since 2016. It would be more than fair for the Democrats to add two more Justices to the court.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Maybe look to the influences your own party has allowed to infiltrate it - and that long before the 70's.

...and you have the temerity to inanely insinuate I'm somehow a product of "GOP Taliban" (whatever that is) propaganda?

Uhm we all know the Supreme Court has been right leaning for the past 50 plus years, and so what a right leaning Supreme Court rectified the mistakes of a right leaning Supreme Court

Sonograms/ Utrasounds was not in use in mass in the early 1970s, just like other technology's, the science caught up with the Law and they could only rule on the technology of the day.

So why did five REPUBLICAN justices support Roe vs Wade?

That's right...you have NO response. Republicans had sanity in the early 1970s. They don't any longer. All of you are part of a demented religious Taliban GOP cult.

You tell me. It was the wrong decision then and deemed the wrong decision now too - unless of course it's your contention that Republicans are incapable of making mistakes and always make the right decisions. If so, we have some common ground on which to sanely discuss this issue.

Right-leaning? Do you mean demented, radical, and ****ing stupid? Yeah, that's what you mean.

The 5 Republican Justices who voted in favor of abortion in 1973 were conservatives. The radicalized modern GOP Taliban doesn't know the meaning of the word.

That has nothing to do with it. The Christian Coalition and the Republican Party hated the feminist movement, civil rights, and gay rights in the late 1970s. That's the ONLY reason they've been spewing this anti-abortion propaganda for the past 45 years.

It has everything to do with it, we didn't have sonograms/ ultrasounds available widely till the late 1970s , and do you know how hard Gloria and all the rest fought for title IX only to see the left try to trash it so dudes in dresses could compete with little girls in sports?

Here's your answer below. Which you won't accept, since you've been a victim of GOP Taliban propaganda your entire adult life. --

When the Republican national convention convened in Kansas City in 1976, the party’s pro-choice majority did not expect a significant challenge to their views on abortion. Public opinion polls showed that Republican voters were, on average, more pro-choice than their Democratic counterparts, a view that the convention delegates shared; fewer than 40 percent of the delegates considered themselves pro-life.Footnote1 The chair of the Republican National Committee, Mary Louise Smith, supported abortion rights, as did First Lady Betty Ford, who declared Roe v. Wade a “great, great decision.” Likewise, Vice President Nelson Rockefeller, who had taken a leading role in the fight for abortion rights in New York in the late 1960s and early 1970s, was solidly pro-choice. Even some of the party’s conservatives, such as Senator Barry Goldwater, supported abortion rights. But in spite of the Republican Party’s pro-choice leadership, the GOP adopted a platform in 1976 that promised an antiabortion constitutional amendment. The party’s leadership viewed the measure as a temporary political ploy that would increase the GOP’s appeal among traditionally Democratic Catholics, but the platform statement instead became a rallying cry for social conservatives who used the plank to build a religiously based coalition in the GOP and drive out many of the pro-choice Republicans who had initially adopted the platform. By 2009, only 26 percent of Republicans were pro-choice.Footnote2

The Republican Party’s shift on abortion reflected the party’s struggle over issues of religion and cultural politics in ways that ultimately transformed the GOP. As long as Republicans viewed the right to an abortion as a mainline Protestant cause that was in the best interest of middle-class women, doctors, and American society, they supported the liberalization of state abortion laws. But when they began to view “abortion on demand” as a symptom of the sexual revolution, the feminist movement, and cultural liberalism, Republicans became less supportive of abortion rights, and they became more amenable to the demands of party strategists who believed that a strong stand against abortion would bring Catholics into the GOP. Abortion policy played a pivotal role in transforming the GOP from a predominantly mainline Protestant party into a party of conservative Catholics and evangelicals. Although Republicans did not perceive its importance at the time, their decision to adopt an antiabortion platform plank in 1976 created the basis for the party’s outreach to social conservatives.

That's right, most Republican voters and most Protestant religious leaders favored abortion until the late 1970s, after Roe vs Wade. They didn't like the sexual revolution and the feminist movement, and that's when they suddenly changed their views on abortion. It had nothing to do with the "protecting the unborn" bullshit that the GOP Taliban has been feeding you for the past 45 years.

Old people passing away? It was the boomers who stared the fight for the environment, women, gays, all the principles the enlighted have.

This is not an age issue this is a cultural issue. Red hats come in old and young.

Obama had a super majority and didn't sign abortion into law not to mention not raising the federal minimum wage
And so what? In hindsight he should have but at that point there was no need. After all the SC said it was a fundamental right and had been for 30 years at that point.
