Considering that not everyone votes, and Biden didn't get every vote anyway, how many people actually sent Biden to DC for over 40 years? The mayor of Toledo Ohio has a larger voting constituency than Biden had until he become Obama's Renfield.

I was lying in bed at 2am GMT listening to the 'debate' on the radio. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from Trump. He sounded like an angry teen, told to clean up his room and reacting like the offensive, entitled and immature little child that he is. Absolutely appalling behaviour; and I too would have gladly punched him in the face, just out of principle. It's the only 'language' the moron understands. That said Biden didn't do great, but at least he held on to his dignity, actually answered the questions posed and talked about policy while Trump was lying and preening over the great achievements his imagination conjured up. Trump dodged every single question he was asked, preferring to rant at Biden instead. It was not a presidential performance. It was, frankly, embarrassing to hear.

Getting votes is a lot about name recognition. Trump understands the value of fame, it can lead to power and wealth, with not much else behind it.
Sure, to be a good president, would require a lot more than that, but not to get elected. Unfortunately, Trump doesn't have much more than his fame to get votes, but the cats out of the bag that he's a total asshole, and America is sick of him, so I don't think he's going to get reelected.

So, the point is, Biden, before becoming vice president, didn't have a lot of name recognition. Now that he has it, people are voting for him because he represents America a lot better than Trump does, Biden is a normal guy, and to beat Trump, that's about all you need.

The rest doesn't really matter, other than the fact that Trump is going to take way health care from 20,000,000 people, there's that.
