The first witness to take the stand in a civil court case between a Dallas oilman and an attorney was a donkey, which leads me to ask this question: Was the lawsuit politically motivated?

Only in Texas.

Article is here.

Hopefully the donkey was sworn in before it's testimony. Donkeys are notorious liars.

Bailiff: "Place your left hoof on the Bible, and raise your right hoof. Do you solemnly swear that the testimony you are about to give is true to the best of your knowledge?"

Donkey: "Breaaayea"

** Donkey then eats Bible **

How do you know the donkey will even testify? They're stubborn animals that can refuse to budge under skull crushing pressure. For all we know he might just take the 5th and "avoid" answering any tough questions. Just like Gonzales.

Actually, I am listening to the Gonzales hearing in the Senate. I like how Bush outlined his terms - Private and not under oath. This morning, I had the satisfaction of hearing Gonzales being sworn in. The hearing is on break right now for lunch, but during the morning, it wasn't only the Democrats ripping him a new one, but Republicans too. Stick a fork in Gonzo. He is done.

Donkeys are pretty crafty when it comes to getting information out of them. Gonzales probably comes from a long line of donkeys.

dclxvinoise. I am shocked that you'd call him a donkey. It is clear that he is not a donkey but a "Burro".

Buddy the donkey, who walked to the bench and stared at the jury, the picture of a gentle, well-mannered creature and not the loud, aggressive animal he had been accused of being.

:rofl
I thought he looked real cute with his little bandana.

hey Buddy, maybe next up you can get a job in the donkey show to keep up your 15 minutes of fame

:rofl

So are all Californians bi-lingual?

Actually I'm trilingual. I speak English, Spanish and French. I learned French for business purposes(I have some clients in French Canada) and I forced myself to learn Spanish for my wife(She's Cuban).

I consider myself bilingual. I am ignorant in at least 2 languages. :2razz:

Donkeys aren't protected by the Constitution or the Geneva Convention. Two minutes of waterboarding and Gus would begging to answer some tough questions. Just like Gonzales. =)

The donkey was at the center of a dispute between oilman John Cantrell and attorney Gregory Shamoun that began after Cantrell complained about a storage shed Shamoun was building in his backyard in Dallas.

He said Shamoun retaliated by bringing Buddy from his ranch in Midlothian and putting him in the backyard.

Cantrell complained of donkey noise and manure piles.

"They bray a lot any time day or night. You never know when they're going to cut loose," he testified."

.... :2rofll:

I know 3 different programming languages, does that make me trilingual too?

It's all about how you approach the languages. I want to try to push myself into Dutch but I like languages so eh it's a different process.
