The Federal Bureau of Investigation and state authorities will conduct a complete and thorough investigation on claims that they were issued fake green cards and Social Security numbers. The attorney for two of these undocumented workers, Victorina Morales and Sandra Diaz, claim that they were issued fraudulent green cards and Social Security numbers to work illegally at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey

Donald Trump's New Jersey Golf Course Allegedly Gave Fake Green Cards, Social Security Numbers to Undocumented Employees

New Jersey’s attorney general allegedly has evidence that President Donald Trump’s Garden State golf club may have committed immigration crimes by handing out fraudulent green cards and Social Security numbers to undocumented employees.

Anibal Romero, counsel to several undocumented immigrants who worked at the Trump National Golf Club, told the New York Daily News about the evidence in a report published on Saturday. He said that special counsel Robert Mueller and the FBI are also aware of the evidence and have been involved in the state’s probe into the golf club

Morales told the New York Times that she recalls the golf club hired many illegal workers. She said she and Diaz came forward because they were “tired of the abuse, the insults, the way he talks about us when he knows that we are helping him make money. We sweat it out to attend to his every need and have to put up with his humiliation.

That (bolded above) is troubling if true. Why would a state, the FBI or Mueller be investigating immigration law violations? It is crap like that which lends credence to the "witch hunt" claims that Trump often makes.

I have worked at a golf course and can assure you that illegal immigrants were (and likely still are) employed there. I can make the same claim, from personal experience, for multiple construction framing companies and a large cabinet manufacturer (company meetings were conducted in Spanish). Rest assured that the state, FBI or Mueller would take zero action if that was reported to them. This case seems a bit different since the 'fake' documents appear to have been supplied directly by the employer but, other than that, it is simply a common practice of 'job creators' all over the country to hire "questionable" immigration status workers.

Lets see how this actually turns out after a full and complete investigation.
If there has been a violation of our immigration laws prosecute the responsible people.

The story reads like nothing but another hit piece with the president as the target.

If it did happen does anyone here think the president had any involvement with what
happened?

If the allegations prove to be true, what they did was a CRIME and the FBI has every right to be involved in investigation of crimes. Your own experiences with your own golf clubs are irrelevant. In this instance we have a president that's been demonizing and carrying on a protracted war against illegal immigrants.

Your selective outrage over (a single?) Trump owned businesses is noted. The point is that this sudden keen interest in enforcing federal immigration law is limited to Trump related employment as opposed to a broad nationwide effort for all such employers - even you must see that as being a reality.

So you think the man who is soooooooo against illegal immigration should be given a pass to hire illegal immigrants?

Nope, but do not agree that his "pass" alone should be cause for undue alarm. After all, this is only two workers out of millions of illegal immigrants currently employed in the USA. This is simply an optics game being played for political purposes (thus the special attention) not some amazing trend for increased interior immigration law enforcement sending a clear message to employers across the nation. I am willing to bet that many (if not most) golf courses and landscaping companies employ illegal immigrants - who is heading up that FBI investigation?

Must have been a birdie.

And therein lies the real problem, employing illegal immigrants...is a profit center.

Until that is addressed, the repubs will never truly reform law and instead rely upon what is the symbolism

of a $20 billion wall. A wall, that will change none of this.

The right are in a quandary, it can't be both rent-seekers and reform let alone enforce...ALL immigration laws.

So ICE raiding seven eleven stores is ok but heaven forbid the man who is the loudest against illegal immigration gets looked at. Got it.

It's also suspected that his other properties including Mar a-Lago have been doing the exact same thing for decades. The real point is that Trump intentionally created a division over the issue of illegal immigrants but he's guilty of hiring them to service his golf clubs and private clubs. They're okay to mop his floors and clean his toilets and it appears even went to lengths to issue them fake social security cards and identification. That's hypocritical at the very least. It means he doesn't really mean what he says, he only says things like demonizing illegals to inspire his base with more prejudice and hatred against minorities and immigrants.

You are simply twisting my words. ICE did not even enter the picture.

When someone in politics latches on to a specific subject that opens them up for investigation specifically if they are guilty of the same thing they are speaking against.

Think of all the politicians who have gone down ( no pun intended, well... ) For homosexually or otherwise having affairs.

When you get into politics and you make something part of your platform, you better be sure there are no weaknesses in that platform...

Imagine that - a lying and hypocritical politician. Not like those honest folks who say that not deporting foreign nationals who are convicted criminals is helping to keep the nation safer.

But you love him all the same, don't you. Despite all the lies and all the corruption within his business organization and alienating all of our U.S. allies and being best buddies with Putin and Kim Jong-un, you still love him. You can overlook the fact that Trump rejected our allies while accepting U.S. adversaries which puts the U.S. in a very dangerous position. But okay..... love who you love, doesn't matter.

Stop the BS. I do not love Trump, did not vote for Trump and personally dislike Trump. That does not mean that the DOJ should go on a mission to inspect every aspect of his life to find some wrongdoing. FFS, that was precisely what folks (like you?) were objecting to with the countless Hillary "investigations".

You don't seem to understand or realize that the FBI routinely investigates crimes such as this. It only seems to be sensational because Trump is a lying two-faced SOB so it makes headlines. But in fact, it's business as usual for the FBI.

Come January, we're going to see every aspect of Trump's criminal activities scrutinized and investigated, so get used to it.

I think we all can agree, hypocrisy abounds on both sides of the aisle. The president harboring illegal aliens while campaigning against illegal immigration. The dems voting against border funding now, yet voted for it when Obama was president.

I heard that the lawyer(s) for these illegals brought it to Mueller's attention, and he handed it off to the FBI.

By all means...they should investigate. IF the business actually issued fake green cards they should certainly be prosecuted. But even with your ridiculous hatred of Trump SURELY you arent stupid enough to believe Trump is involved in the day to day operations of the 150 plus business establishments his corporation owns. I mean...to believe such a thing would just be...well...stupid.

It's doubtful. Trump only chooses his cheap labor from Eastern Europe, via H-2 visas.

Can you provide some current year links to prove that (bolded above) assertion?

Yep, and if it was some other business the FBI would have filed that report in the circular file emptied daily.

He is shopping for his next wife.

He is on record of saying you always trade in your wife when they turn 35.

How old is Melania???

Can you provide some current year links to prove that (bolded above) assertion?

I would be happy to submit a list of some of the crimes that are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Federal crimes include mail fraud, aircraft hijacking, carjacking, kidnapping, bank robbery, child pornography, credit card fraud, identity theft, computer crimes, federal hate crimes, violations of the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, obscenity, tax evasion, counterfeiting, violations of the Espionage Act, violations of the Patriot Act, illegal wiretapping, art theft from a museum, damaging or destroying public mailboxes, electoral fraud, immigration offenses.

Links and quotes are really unnecessary considering the broad range of crimes the FBI has authority to investigate. As you can clearly see, investigation of an individual or individuals in a case of fraud by falsifying social security numbers and creating fake IDs in order to conceal the use of illegal immigrants working in the United States is within the scope of the FBI authority to investigate.
