You should look at the thread title again.
Just did. What’s your point? Trump was trying to create a medium through which the news would be discussed. An editorial page, if you will.

My larger point is my view that in his position, Trump, like his anti-immigrant acolyte Tucker Carlson, needs to be aware that his words have consequences. Look at Jan 6. Trump does not have the same obligations the media have to cross check and verify, but as a public figure who bragged that his supporters were -how to best put it- somewhat fanatical, he has some responsibility for what he says.
