Donald Trump got away with his own Watergate that thus far has been kept somewhat below the radar.....why?

Ties to Trump Campaigns

In August 2016, Erik met with Donald Trump, Jr., Joel Zamel, and George Nader at Trump Tower to discuss Iran policy. During the meeting, Nader reportedly said that the crown princes of the UAE and Saudi Arabia wanted to help Donald Trump win the presidential election. In January 2017, Prince also attended a meeting in Seychelles that was arranged by Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE crown prince. In April 2017, "The Washington Post" reported that this meeting was "part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump."

Though Erik testified in front of the House Intelligence Committee that he did not represent the Trump transition and that no back-channel was involved, the Special Counsel found evidence that contradicted his testimony.

In April 2019, House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department on the basis that Prince had provided false testimony, and the Department of Justice opened an investigation in early 2020.

In March 2020, "The New York Times" revealed that Erik recruited former spies to infiltrate "Democratic congressional campaigns, labor organizations and other groups considered hostile to the Trump agenda."

The FBI is reportedly investigating Donald Trump ally and Blackwater founder Erik Prince for his efforts to convert an American-made crop dusting plane into an attack aircraft, in violation of arms trafficking regulations.

The investigation, reported by The Intercept, has been launched as a part of a series of ongoing inquiries into Mr Prince, who is considered by some to be a shadow adviser to the president.

He has reportedly also been the focus of an investigation for lying to Congress during the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, as well as concerns related to an armed aviation proposal made to the United Arab Emirates in 2017.

The crop dusting investigation stems from an alleged 2015 attempt to modify the planes, according to two people who spoke to The Intercept.

But Mr Prince, an heir to a billion dollar fortune, is apparently not concerned with investigation and sees himself as untouchable during the Trump administration: “Not under this guy,” he is reported to have said of the prospect that he might be prosecuted.

Fake. As usual.

Erik Prince, the founder of the private military firm Blackwater, was approached by former British spy Richard Seddon in the summer of 2018 for help launching a new venture that sent undercover agents "to infiltrate progressive groups, Democratic campaigns and other opponents of [former President Donald Trump]," The New York Times reported Tuesday.

Prince reportedly acted as "celebrity pitchman" to raise money for the operation, which was focused on gathering intel "that could discredit politicians and activists in several states," the Times writes. His role in the effort has not been previously shared.

Once Seddon and Prince met with Susan Gore — "a Wyoming heiress to the Gore-Tex fortune" — in August 2018, Gore became "the project's main benefactor."

During that meeting, Prince and Seddon said the goal of Seddon's venture was to "gather dirt" on Democrats and RINOs, a term for "Republicans in name only," the Times writes, per a source familiar with the conversation. The project would originate in Wyoming, then expand outward.

"Over two years, [Seddon's] undercover operatives also developed networks in Colorado and Arizona, and made thousands of dollars in campaign donations posing as Democrats, both to the Democratic National Committee and individual campaigns," the Times adds.

The revelation as to Prince's role in the undercover effort "sheds further light on how a group of ultraconservative Republicans employed spycraft to try to manipulate the American political landscape," the Times writes.

Prince's "willingness to support [Seddon's] operation is fresh evidence of his engagement in political espionage projects at home during a period when he was an informal adviser to Trump administration officials."

Trump administration officials reportedly are considering a plan to privatize a significant portion of the U.S. war in Afghanistan. Erik Prince, founder of the notorious security firm formerly known as Blackwater, is apparently the architect of a proposal to send 5,500 new contractors and a 90-plane private air force to assist the Afghan government.

This infusion would involve a significant increase over the 23,500 contractors currently operating there. More importantly, it would result in a broad expansion of the role of U.S contractors in Afghanistan, most of whom are currently performing only logistics, administrative, and support functions.

Prince explains that the private forces would be embedded as advisors with Afghan troops and would provide air support, and might even drop bombs from planes if so directed by the Afghans.

We have walked down this privatization path before, and each time, privatization has led to significant problems, problems that have seriously undermined our military mission.

The Prince proposal offers some policy benefits but it also appears to raise a unique and lengthy list of extraordinary legal risks, policy pitfalls, and financial costs.

Legal issues

It is important that policymakers take into account the possibility that this new privatization plan might raise significant legal risks to the United States. The law of armed conflict imposes obligations on states with respect to private military and security contractors, as is made clear by the Montreux Document on Pertinent Legal Obligations and Good Practices for States Related Operations of Private Military and Security Companies During Armed Conflict. The United States has been an active participant in the Montreux process.

What sunk Nixon was the audio tapes, confirming Dean's testimony.

Trump was smart enough not to leave such incriminating evidence, but still a bigger crook than Tricky Dicky could ever dream.

No more so than the Hunter laptop story. You've got yours and we've got ours. The thing is that ours are much more widespread.
Trump haters like the OP TRIED to turn the Hunter laptop story into a CT...but they failed. The truth was revealed and so were the liars.

And just because your CT is "widespread", that doesn't make it real. It just means more people are trying to make people THINK it's real.
