Donald Trump DOES NOT support free speech

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...6931e66333e7_story.html?tid=pm_politics_pop_b

Donald Trump has a long history of using lawsuits and threats to silence anybody who dares to criticize him. The irony of Trump claiming to be the "free speech" candidate would be funny, if it weren't so sad.

When in the course of human events speech must be controlled, always be a communist, for they always control everything. Without Communist, people say things. Things are bad. Bad is not good, so be a communist.

Perhaps you should look at what Mao and Stalin did to people that spoke out against him.

People sue other people or companies all the time in the US. Some are good cases, some are just plain stupid.

"Modern day China, more than almost any other country in the world, severely restricts its citizens freedom of speech and expression"
"China also has strong restrictions against assembly and worship, demonstrated over the last few days with a crackdown on Tibetan protesters."
"China has responded with a vast centralized censorship program. One study by a group at Harvard in 2002, "found blocking of almost every kind of content. If it exists, China blocks at least some of it." The blocking has traditionally been centered on political and opinion based sites."

Communism: Censorship and Freedom of Speech

Seems people in the USA have much more free speech than in China.

Neither does hardly anyone else, anymore.

Was there a point to be had?

And Pol Pot. And Fidel Castro. And Nocolae Ceausescu. And (our buddy will love this one) Mengistu Haile Mariam.

A Communist talking about Free Speech, now there is something you do not see everyday. Yes, they believe in it, right up until they take power, then they will tell you what you can say or ................

Freedom of speach is not freedom to slander.

Nor should it be freedom to lie about science but that's a different subject...

All those violent leftists hurting people at DJT rallies comes to mind. Talk about being anti-1st Amendment.

No disclosure agreements are a part of our society. IF YOU CHOOSE TO SIGN ONE, then you should honor the contract you signed...or not be surprised when someone sues your ass.

Neither did Mao, but Trump is an egomaniac who only wants to hear praise of himself. He's not really into rights or liberties in general for the People if people exercise those rights and liberties to oppose him.

Your premise is ignorant.

Leftists live in an alternate universe.

Out of all the examples of anti-1st Amendment, he picks DJT, when he ought to have picked any BLM'er/anti-1st Amendment DJT rally rioters/ or the like. Essentially, leftists are the biggest anti-free speech people known in the US.

Again, respect for free speech does not have to include putting up with slander or violation of non-disclosure contracts.

Mmm, yeah I'm sure Trump keeps it to that

Your premise is ignorant. The right to free speech does not include immunity from the consequences of that speech.

If he hadn't signed a nondisclosure agreement, he'd be protected by free speech. Once he signed his right to free speech away, he was bound by the contract, free speech.aside.

So what. He's extremely self-confident. Aren't you? And, how do you know he "only wants to hear praise of himself?" He's a businessman, billionaire, you think he can't take bad news or hear something negative that he has done? If so, that's incredible and you know nothing of building businesses.

He's not really into rights or liberties in general for the People if people exercise those rights and liberties to oppose him.

Again, how do you know this? Are you just pulling this out of your butt, or do you have good evidence that he routinely tries to destroy people that exercise their rights?

Id venture to guess that every cleaning service, tradesperson, financial advisor, etc., etc., engaged by the rich and famous requires nondisclosure agreements. Do you think Bill Gates' cleaning lady gets to talk about him leaving dirty underwear on the floor?

Yes, it is a common trait among egomaniacs. We've seen the same behavior from Obama except that he responds to it less bombastically.

The same rules apply to Trump as apply to everyone else. We all have the right to say what we want. None of us are free of the consequences of what we say.
