Conspiracy thinking
That's all they have.
Conspiracy thinking
They just need to start arresting everyone that voted for Trump or, better yet, everyone that DIDN'T vote for Biden. Once we kill all those ****ers off we can replace them with all the Guatemalans and Nicaraguans that will be coming in next week.DOJ’s Jan. 6 probe expands to rally preparations, conspiracies: report

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is expanding its probe of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack to include the events leading up to the preceding rally, and the wider conspiracies that fueled the violence, people familiar with the issue told The Washington Post.
Before supporters of former President Trump attacked the Capitol, many participated in a rally that had multiple speakers, including Trump himself.
Sources told the Post the DOJ is now looking to the planning of the rally and the conspiracy theories that surrounded the event.
The rally was based around the false claims that Trump won the 2020 presidential election and that election fraud was the reason President Biden won.
The DOJ has begun issuing subpoenas to investigate the funding and planning of the event as well as who was involved. People familiar with the issue told the Post the subpoenas were issued against those in Trump’s circle but would not say what they requested or who received them.
More politicization of the DOJ. This stuff is getting to be ridiculous. The Perna fellow who committed suicide because of stress over his trail. He didn't break into the capital, he didn't destroy anything, he didn't harm anyone. In fact the evidence shows the capital police escorted him into the building. Now maybe he was trespassing but is 50 months an appropriate sentence for trespassing? Hell, No! We have a more serious case being ignore, Hunter Biden's accepting money from foreign countries. That case is being covered up. If 1-6 violators can be shown to have assaulted police, destroyed property then by all means prosecute and sentence accordingly.DOJ’s Jan. 6 probe expands to rally preparations, conspiracies: report

They've had well over a year already. Don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting them for what is being done. I'm just stating that anyone who doesn't think this is about political timing is very naive. Campaign season for this Nov is about to be in full swing and this is a well-worn playbook that both sides use.Are you saying we should have waited a few years to start the investigation? What timing would have been better in your opinion?
Because the “investigation” is so ridiculous. I generally respond to absurdity with absurdity. Why are all your post so ****ing ridiculous?
Doesn't matter when you start an investigation in the US.....it's always in the middle of your never ending political cycle! They've had well over a year already. It would be as a negotiating point to keep his wife from getting charged with crimes.I would be shocked if he does. Roberts may push for it if and when there's a republican controlled Senate again though.
I knew that they were going to go after the financiers and those that planned the event. Hopefully those individuals will be held accountable.DOJ’s Jan. 6 probe expands to rally preparations, conspiracies: report

But you find anything critical of Trump to be absurd. And you respond with nothing but hyperbole and victimhood. It's comical, actually.Because the “investigation” is so ridiculous. I generally respond to absurdity with absurdity.
while lying about what happened on Jan 6th.Sick and tired. These people hate their country.
You don't think investigations take years? Especially when you consider so many parties are refusing to hand over documents or show up for questioning, claiming the 5th, etc. They've had well over a year already. Call my cynical but I think overall, investigations move exactly at the pace the investigators wantYou don't think investigations take years? Especially when you consider so many parties are refusing to hand over documents or show up for questioning, claiming the 5th, etc.
This opinion is based on your extensive experience?Call my cynical but I think overall, investigations move exactly at the pace the investigators want
Agreed. Hopefully they announce grand jury indictments. As far as it being delayed, I don't go for that. Being that it is the biggest investigation ever taken on by the FBI/DOJ, no one expected miracles overnight. Watergate took almost three years before indictments started coming. In reality, the committee only got started last June. Not yet even a year. So, any delays are the product of republican obstructionism. It didn't take him "long enough". This was delayed until now because they need to keep this alive until the election. If they did this a yer ago, it would be old news by now. Look for them to announce a few more things getting closer to the election.
In my experience, your posts do little to further a thread. If you'd like to add to the discussion with your opinion I'll be happy to respond. This opinion is based on your extensive experience?

Technically the permit was for assembly at a rally, not marching on the capitol.Oh, my recollection is that it was Jan 6.
I also recall that people are allowed to assemble and protest.
And Trumps DOJ was in charge at the time. Did they bring any charges? And if not, who's fault is that? Bill Barr was running things. Complain to him.I guess you missed the violent attack on the White House in the Summer of 2020? Dozens of Secret Service agents injured, the President had to be moved to a secure location, just like Nancy Pelosi. Except the left mocked Trump for that. It was a big joke to the left.
no. you're just determined to downplay the attempted insurrection.More politicization of the DOJ. This stuff is getting to be ridiculous.
