Sometime back I made a thread about how dogs are often inaccurate in sniffing out drugs and that there can be false positives where a police dog supposedly sniffs drugs when there are in fact no drugs. Well that's not the only reason why dogs should be banned from police use. Here is all the more reason why police should not be allowed to use dogs in their line of work.

So...it is your contention that because a police dog unintentionally attacked a woman that all police dogs should be banned. With that line of reasoning why not just ban all police period? What with all the unintended shootings of innocent people. The unintentional raids that targeted the wrong house. etc etc.
That is the logic that you're displaying here.
The dog intentionally attacked the woman, the police officer didn't intend to have the dog attack the woman. Let's get that straight before you're attempts at making propaganda truth take hold in the minds of the less intelligent.
You are misrepresenting here.
It is the contention of the person you are replying to that, police dogs are ineffective as tools to locate drugs. And ineffective as tools to apprehend the correct suspect, that they are just as liable to maul a pregnant woman in the area as the suspect. Their liability outweighs their effectiveness by a wide margin.
Address the posters argument honestly, and stop trying to turn it into them explaining what they meant when you know what they meant you're just twisting because you have the low ground and no effective counter argument.
You have been super bad about pitching propaganda lately.

My neighbor is a k-nine PO...when he's off duty, his poor German Shepherd stays in a small kennel all the time...maybe 4'x10'...hottest hot weather and coldest cold weather...I go out on the deck and talk to him sometimes, i feel so bad for him...

Police dogs are not "lethal force"...If an officer can shoot a barking dog because they fear for their life, then their use of canines is the same and so should be controlled the same as all uses of lethal force.
You know that the dog doesn't understand what you are saying though... right?
Not true...he knows his name and he knows by the sound of my voice that I care for him...
If you said that you cared for him and that you were gonna behead him in the same soft soothing voice the stupid dog would not know the difference...
Dogs are not stupid but some people are...
Says the person that thinks that dogs can understand what words mean... Stimulus Response... read up on it.
My dogs have a pretty extensive vocabulary...they know the words, do ya want supper, do ya wanna eat, do you have to go out, go poop, go pee, stop that, no, quiet, stop barking, ya ready to go to bed, get out of the kitchen, you know the drill, out on the deck, twirl around, just to name a few...and they both know their names...so there...:2razz:
Stimulus Response... that is all it is.
But I like dogs... my Golden (Dusty) is cute as a button.

Maybe but I don't think you give them enough credit...my older dog tries to talk...at times it sounds exactly like he says nooooo when we tell him to stop barking...

From linked article:
Little said Mancini will likely have to declare bankruptcy to pay her medical bills without the police department or the city being held responsible.
Another example of why we need universal, single-payer healthcare. We seem to hold dogs in higher regard than humans.
