Does Pat Buchanan have 'compromising photos' of MSNBC President Phil Griffin?

If you're old enough, you recall a Monday night football game, September 5, 1983, when legendary sportscaster Howard Cosell made what was considered to be a racial gaffe. Speaking of Washington Redskins wide receiver Alvin Garrett, Cosell said, "That little monkey gets loose, doesn't he?"

This started a firestorm of accusations that Cosell was a racist. Cosell, who showed a love unequalled by any other contemporary white sportscaster for the black athelete. Cosell, who championed Mohammed Ali at a time when he was scorned and stripped of his title for standing on a principle. The cries for him to apologize then resign were deafening. Cosell refused, saying he had used the same phrase to describe small white atheletes (including Mike Adamle, for whom Cosell was on record using the term 11 years prior), as well as for his own grandson.

He wasn't fired. But 1983 was his last year on Monday night football.

Now, enter Pat Buchanan, former speech writer for Richard Nixon, former presidential candidate, current gadfly on MSNBC's Morning Joe and any of the MSNBC programs which require the viewpoint of an analyst known for saying outlandishly right wing and racist things.
