This place is teeming with postings and responses today. Anyone at all work a regular 8 hour day shift? I'm a disabled veteran, so my job has been limited to passing the all-American conservative/capitalism message on to those of you that are perhaps leeching off the government, and to those that have idle unconstructive time on your hands. I do realize that some of you have the use of computers at work, but is your company doing that well--that you have time to sidestep those capitalistic ideals and a committed work ethic to engage in an online political format? We, that are living off of Uncle Sam's largesse, need to be constantly assured that you won't be getting fired for having abused the rules and regulations of your workplace. My very livlihood depends on keeping America working. Leave the political in-fighting to those of us like myself that have the time to fully engage in rhetorical fighting.

Yes. I'm self employed, bust my butt all day, and I don't cheat on my taxes.

***Congrats! You sound like a dedicated conservative/capitalist to me. I'm beginning to like you already.

Unlike you, I do work. I own a small business and am actually engaged in that capitalism of which you speak, but towards which you do not contribute.

I am one of those people who are supporting the ability of those like you to engage in hypocritical finger pointing.

You can thank me if you wish, but it really isn't necessary.

***Thank you for that contribution to American capitalism. But you have me pegged wrong. I do have a thriving home business here that I engage in between postings to DP. I do find it necessary to thank you because you and people like yourself do pay my other salary.

I'm actually in high school right now. But when I get out I plan on sucking off of welfare and every other program in the book just to piss people like you off:2wave:

***I know a guy running for president named Obama that is running on a socialist agenda that would ensure that most Americans would svck of the government. Ever hear of him, his name is Barak Obama?

lol uh actually know he’s not running a socialist agenda. He’s actually running an agenda that’s pleasing both sides of the isle.
However, I must ask...What’s wrong with socialism????
I'm sure your a Christian...is it like a Christian to want the vast majority of people to struggle while a small percentage of greedy geezers run the capitalist society? Who does Jesus like more…? The capitalist war monger or the anti-war socialist?

careful there, logic may cause his head to explode. On second thought..... please keep it up

I won the lottery some time ago. $32,000,000 lump sum, after taxes.

OK, not really.

I get about 25-30 hours a week at a gas station and a college student.

I sit in my mom's basement all day making crank calls and watching cartoons.

Then at night, I whore myself out to needy women. :2wave:

Are a vast majority of people struggling? I don't think so, if they were we would already be a socialist country.

Compare the percetages of people that are rich to people who are poor.

Kinda in the same boat with you. As with any forum, I'm sure many spend to much time on the WWW and on this forum especially; what would be sad if someone worked pt because of internet addiction. Most of the time I do spend on the WWW is DP and I usually do that every 2-4 days on average, some more and some less at times. I wonder about those high post count individuals--that's alot of time and energy to devote.

What do you have to say to the fact that the top 10% of this country owns 70.9% of our entire wealth???
Wealth Distribution in U.S. Unacceptably Unequal

Our wealth? What is this our wealth ****? They earned it. A capitalist system works on fairness of opportunity, not fairness of result. Also, I'm disinclined to believe the numbers on your website, as they site they link for their information doesn't work. But according to the US Bureau of the Census as of 2003 the highest fifth of wage earners in the US actually control 50.1%. I don't have an internet link for that since I actually got it from my American Government text book. Kerbo: Social Stratification and Inequality, Sixth Edition. Feel free to look it up if you don't believe me.

See, this is what I was talking about in the other thread, as an example of proof that you aren't a real person. If you were real, you wouldn't have the audacity to say such stupid things. Only a troll would.

You really overdo it sometimes, kid. If you're going to troll, at least be creative and subtle about it.

What kind of arsenal would you buy with that load of cash, I wonder? :2razz:

I work 12-14 hours days everyday from home except maybe saturdays when I take a break. I run a small graphic design company that specializes in advertisement. Some of my bigger clients include the Scholastic book club, Converse shoes and the Darkstar Wood skateboard company and interior designer Catherine Brown. I do some pro bono work for charities. I basically make and print the signs they might need for fund raisers free of charge. I spend alot of time here at DP but thats only because I also have around 10 other windows opened where I monitor the work the people under me do. The only boss I have is whatever client I'm currently working for other then that I'm free to do as I please in my work line.

Your poll is lacking. I work a day job and have an LLC is run on the side for extra cash. There isn't an option for someone doing both.

What I pay in taxes monthly probably equals the check the kid receives every month. A thank you for paying your livelihood would be nice kid. :)

***Forgive me for not thanking you in advance. I receive around $5,000 a month tax free. But Uncle Sam's small stipend to me is chump change compared to the proceeds I receive from my home based moonlighting job.
