Do you support Trump forcibly staying in office in spite of cheating or losing?

Do you support Trump forcibly staying in office in spite of cheating or losing?

The assumption is one of two scenarios:

1)Trump openly steals the election, by way of shutting down the mail (since it's assumed that Democrats will make up the majority of mail-in ballots) or through other means of targeting populations known to vote Democrat like suing states that send out ballots to voters, or other means he has yet to try.

2)He ignores the outcome of the election in spite of a loss.

For context, the postmaster general has said he has no intention of returning the mail sorters he's dismantled, and additional sorters are being observed to be removed as well.

This is in addition to trump saying, 'The only way we're going to lose this election is if the election is rigged."

Also, this exchange between a reporter and the WH spokesperson:

Reporter: "Is the President saying if he doesn't win this election that he will not accept the results unless he wins?"

Kayleigh McEnany: "The President has always said he'll see what happens and make a determination in the aftermath."

If you don't consider the first scenario to be cheating, then it's assumed you don't believe in free and fair elections, or have given no thought to what a "free and fair election" is. At best, you simply don't believe in democratic principles.

If you voted "no," consider the question that Bill Maher has for every Democrat who comes on his show and which he has yet to receive a coherent answer to: "What are you going to do if Trump refuses to leave office? He's got the army and the tough guys on his side. What is the plan?"

Stupid poll.

Oh geez, more of this?

SCOTUS will rule if necessary, and on 20 JAN Justice Roberts will swear-in the winner, and then all military & law enforcement reports to him.

In terms of administrative hand-over, I think all this noise is far overblown. Trump can still stoke the populace though, which is a whole 'nother thing. But the wheels of the administration will be firmly turned by the recipient at the inauguration.

The greater danger runs in the interim between the election & swearing-in. Trump may stoke the GOP governors to play games with their ballot counting, and possibly call on them to appoint rather than elect House & Senate representatives. Governors do have that power, if the electoral process does not complete for some reason by 3 JAN. So, the govs could call the electoral process legally incomplete or fraudulent, then use their Constitutional power to appoint their Congressional Representatives & Senators for their state after 3 JAN. Those House reps would then pick a President. That of all scenarios, is my greatest fear, since there are 26 GOP governors, and 24 Dem/Indie.

In another twist, if Congress is not seated on 3 Jan, while the House could be appointed GOP, I believe the Senate could be appointed Dem. The entire House ends all terms on 3 JAN, but only 1/3 of the Senate terms expires. And with more Senate GOP seats expiring, the 2/3 left would be majority Dem. After President & Veep terms expire 20 JAN, and if the House is not legally seated for some reason (the governors can't do it?), the the line of Presidential succession goes to the Senate President Pro Tempore. Which in my scenario, will be Dem, if the Senate is left with a legal quorum.

Interesting stuff, eh?

my impression is that if he obviously loses and pretends that he didn't, neither congress nor the military will work with him. it will help if it isn't close. cheating is more complicated, as he's already setting that one up.

I know all this already, Chomsky.

I believe in our military. They serve America. They (as a whole) are loyal to no man or woman. They serve under the office of the President. Just like when Trump came in, Obama came in, Bush came in, Clinton came in ect they will serve under the office, not the individual. I have no worries that the US military will turn their back on their duties and stand behind this moron.
There won't be anything to stand behind. His & Pence's terms expire. As of 12:01P 20 JAN, Trump is a civilian. Unless Justice Roberts swears him into office.

Why do TrumpQins support his ongoing dictatorship?

The fact that democrats dont have an exact concise plan for handling this is worrying. Enough performative **** Pelosi

Well, anyway. Trump's term expires at 12:01P 20 JAN, and he becomes a civilian. So why would the military or anyone else listen to him?

GOP Senators Grassley, Graham, and Johnson are CORRUPTLY using Ru$$ian Intel to investigate Biden.

Barr (John Mitchell) and the GOPutin Senate have now created a FASCIST Dictatorship as we speak.
You left out Dana Rohrabacher, the worst of the worst.

Why do TrumpQins support his ongoing dictatorship?

I have no idea what you are asking. What is a "TrumpQins"? What "ongoing dictatorship" are you referring to?

Hell, why are you asking me dumbass questions?

What's the right answer?

Oh, never mind. :doh smh

The Twentieth Amendment says that the president’s and vice president’s terms “shall end at noon on the 20th day of January … and the terms of their successors shall then begin.”

What Trump may (probably?) do now that he's had over 600 USPS auto-sorters removed and targeted post offices closed (in blue areas), is declare that all votes must be counted before midnight on November 3rd.

All votes not yet counted by that deadline are null and void.
Yes. And that will give cover for the GOP governors, many in battleground states, to order counting stopped, since the electoral process is that of the states.

Thank god Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota elected democratic governors in 2018

The states run their own elections. Trump has no say in the time limits for counting. If it takes a little longer, so be it. We can wait. It won't change Jan. 20th.
Ah, but Trump can give political cover to the GOP governors to end the counting. That's essentially how DeSantis won Florida. The Republican governor & legislature ended the counting post haste, before Miami-Dade could finish.

Don't be ridiculous. If Trump loses he won't have the military or anyone else except maybe Fox News. If you're not president any longer how the hell could you be CIC?
Exactly!

"What are you going to do if Trump refuses to leave office? He's got the army and the tough guys on his side.

If you really believe this, I'd recommend getting professional help. I hear it's available via the internet these days.

Would you have thought any of the predictions to be "ridiculous?'
But there's no impetus or mechanism for your scenario.

Why would the military eschew reporting to the Commander in Chief, and rather take orders from a civilian? That makes no sense. It's no longer political, as your other examples you just put forth. But rather, you posit breaking chain-of-command, which is something totally different than politics.

Unless President Donald Trump is officially reelected by a vote of the electoral college recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives then his term ends automatically at 12 noon, January 20th, 2021

That can't be changed.
And sworn-in by Roberts. We can't forget that little bit!

Wow, LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE WORDING...

Cardinal asks if you support Trump forcibly remaining in office if he receives a majority of electoral college votes - but the Democrats are screaming Trump stole the election like they did with Hilary Clinton? Basically, for how the question is framed, it is asking if you will engage in armed revolution if Trump wins and you think he cheated.

EVERYONE - 20 voters so far - voted they will NOT accept Trump as president if he again wins a majority of electoral votes. So far I'm the only one who isn't preparing for armed revolution against the US Constitution and elected federal government.

If you really believe this, I'd recommend getting professional help. I hear it's available via the internet these days.
Trump has NEVER said he would accept the results of the election. No other President has ever said anything like this FASCISM.

I voted YES because it is already 100% certain the MSM and Democrats will scream "CHEATER! TRUMP CHEATED!!!" - just like they did when Hilary Clinton lost. All 20 so far said they will NOT accept the outcome if Trump receives a majority of electoral votes - meaning 100% so far claim they will not accept a Constitutionally defined election outcome.

I need to remember the 20 members so far who voted they absolutely will NOT accept the US Constitution and democracy if they don't like the election outcome.

This election is going to be so contested due to interference and fraud that I don't see how we don't get a huge conflagration over the results, regardless of who officially wins.

If either candidate loses by a close margin, there will at minimal, undoubtedly, be a recount. Both will probably claim corruption and reject any election that results in their loss, claiming it to be rigged. Even though the election isn't decided by popular vote. Trump will probably have to be physically removed on the morning of Jan. 20, 2021, as an ex-president and private citizen, if he feels he has enough public support.
??

In what manner?

There is no mechanism for a 'national' recount? And most states won't be that close. The only recount might be some select states.
