The big shame about partisan politics, is that nothing is ever really THAT cut and dry.

But those who hate Joe Biden's agenda will attack his personality, his age, and ALL of his policies, even ones that are very popular.

Those who have no use for the Republicans will do the same thing, when they have a President in office, it is slag slag slag.

Even Trump did SOME things right, likely more by accident than design, but still...

So if I were to ask all of you to take off your partisan hats and evaluate those things Biden has passed or is working on and simply pick from the list above which you support (and which you don't support by not clicking on that item), maybe we can see HONESTLY where you stand, instead of more slagging just because...

For me, the border is a mess, and Biden needs to tighten security and set up processing centers in Mexico (with their permission) so refugees can be processed before crossing the border.

Biden wants to stack the court, I say NO WAY, the two eldest judges are Conservative justices so replace them at the appropriate time with more Liberal judges, though I would prefer both parties would come to an agreement not to put hyper-partisan judges on the bench, John Roberts types would be preferable (just my opinion)

But even though I am not American, I supported the 2 trillion dollar relief bill, I support the Infrastructure bill, and hope it passes.

More gun legislation is needed, more to protect the environment, and looks like Biden has those in his crosshairs.

AND he has done the smart thing by NOT using his influence to pursue charges against Trump and has left that to the DOJ.

HOWEVER, I DO get that many of you don't like ALL of his proposals and don't for purely political and partisan reasons.

BUT which of the above CAN you support?

It's called "packing" the court, which in itself is a misnomer. The "packing" was done by Trump and McConnell by unscrupulously stuffing the court to it's breaking point with undeniably staunch conservative justices, for the primary purpose of creating a substantial lean to the right.

Biden's/Democrats efforts have been considerably less "obvious." Merrick Garland was/is considered politically moderate except to Republicans who believe anyone who is not demonstrably, rabidly conservative is instead a flaming liberal. Increasing the number of SC justices to 13 is just a smart idea, as are some other proposed reforms, be they theoretically by legislation of Constitutional amendment, or even internal rules changing. 13 justices of whatever original political stripe help to balance and dilute the politics as the justices would have been nominated over time by numerous presidents and consented by various Senates, during an extended time period. More experiences, more age representation, more developed critical thinking, better comfort level within the ranks, etc.

next Republican administration will then increase the number again. but fair enough, each has their own opinion, I hope you clicked on that choice.

I voted for the last option. For example I agree that we needed the first two options. However I disagree with how the dollars are being spent.

fair enough, I tried to keep the poll as open as possible for differing opinions. I am just waiting however, for the first person who jumps on and says none because Biden is this or that.

I agree with Biden getting out of Afganistan. The Brits in there heyday had their heads handed to them there.
'A poisoned chalice! No one wins there. It's not smart to try to tame the Afghans. Besides from what I see
in the NY area we have more Afghans in the tri-stae area than there are in kabul!

Other than that every policy his handlers are championing are horrible!

The Republicans may indeed try the same thing, and at the end of the day, if I were the King I might cut to the chase and say there will be 23 Supremes (one of which must naturally be Diana Ross!!). I think the workload and the voting power of the Supremes benefits from being more diluted, regardless of political slant. The dilution I believe will serve to mediate the power of fringe partisans like Scalia and Clarence Thomas (in my opinion).

I think I clicked on all of them.

Do I support any of Biden's policies?
Yes. I strongly support building a new, world class electrical grid and high speed communication system. It is the most needed, as we lose almost 40% of electrical production through outdated transmission lines and switching. It is one infrastructure project that could payback the cost relatively quickly. And have the most benefit. For the technical expertise necessary to do it right, I wouldn't mind at all if most of the workers were union. Unlike most of the other "infrastructure" projects, we could actually afford to do this one.

The first thing Biden did was throw thousands of the XL Pipeline workers out of a job. To prove that he despises the American worker, he opened the borders, flooding the country with illegals to take our jobs. We had energy independence under Trump. You cannot even claim that Biden loves Mexicans, because the coyotes are throwing babies over the wall. Biden raised taxes in a pandemic, higher than China's tax rate. Where do you think the jobs will go ? Biden just said he wanted to finish Trump's departure of Afghanistan. I support that, yet Biden sent troops into Syria. There are troops around the Capitol. He said Putin was a killer and increased sanctions on Russia, just when the size of China's navy passed the size of the American's. Biden is politicizing the military with "wokism". Biden has been around forever, so I am used to his personal ridiculousness. Someone said he wants to be another FDR. To do that, Biden first needs to find a job for all those XLPipeline people.

Poll question: Any listed that you can support?

NO.

So far I’ve been indifferent to most. Of those you listed Covid, infrastructure, buy American I’m for. I think re-entering the Paris Climate Accord is a total waste as countries like China and India can still do as they please as I understand it until 2030. But I just shrug at this. No big deal one way or the other. I think Biden and the way he campaigned was throwing the welcoming mat to illegals to cross our border. The rest I’ve am pretty much indifferent or just plain don’t care. Actually, I fully expected the thousands upon thousands of illegals to come. He doesn’t have the balls to stop them or do what it takes.

I think the ones I’m totally against is adding justices to the SCOTUS, reparations and more gun control. Until we delve deep into our society to find out the root causes of why we have all these mass shootings, the cause will remain and be active regardless of more gun control. Gun control is like putting a band aide over a sucking chest wound. Feel good, does no good.

Although I have my differences with Biden, that’s no different than with any other president in my lifetime. I have always had things, policies, actions taken or not taken that I agreed with, policies, actions taken or not taken, stances on issues that I opposed, many that I was indifferent to or plain didn’t care with every president going back to Truman.

I'd say my differences or strong opposition has much more to do with the Democratic Congress than Biden himself. I voted for a moderate Democrat, what it looks what we got is a president being pushed to the far left by a Democratic congress. That's okay, 2022 is right around the corner and I hope swing voters, independents, non-partisans like myself will vote to correct this and stop the push so we can get the moderate democrat back. Time will tell

Biden's had an approval rating of over 50% since his inauguration. Fat donny never exceeded 50. The infrastructure bill has almost a 70% approval rating - which includes many conservatives.

In a nutshell, Biden's polices, overall are very popular with Americans!

I am surprised you would believe that, that is exactly what Fox and their ilk are throwing out there. Remember, what Americans consider far left or socialistic, is mainstream politics elsewhere, like Canada. We enjoy universal health care, promote stronger gun control measures, and urge our politicians to engage more on the environment, we also support gay rights, abortion rights, voting rights, and have legal marijuana.
If those things make us too far left for Americans, maybe what they consider moderate is too far to the right. Everything is perspective. As I stated in my opening monologue, there are issues that Biden is promoting I don't agree with, but when folks say he is being pushed too far to the left the rest of us in the western world have to chuckle, as that implies WE are all too far left, yet OUR countries are not imploding, in fact, we do just fine with our leftist governments.

omg, more rightwing blather

ditto. the rest of those policies are abominations

  • The Covid Relief bill
  • The Infrastructure bill
  • Sanctions on Russia
  • Negotiating with Iran
  • Re-entering the Paris Climate Accord
  • Border policies
  • Canceling the pipeline
  • Buy American
  • Stacking the SCOTUS

All of the above.

The whole point about modern Republicans and especially Trump Republicans is to be against anything the Dems want no matter what it is.

They would happily vote against a bill that says that "punching puppies in the face is wrong" if the Dems proposed such a bill for just that reason. It's got nothing to do with common sense or actually trying to help people it's all about "Owning the libs" and that's it.

That's all they live for now.

No, he made some good points. We are going to rue the day we turned away from energy independence and have to rely on Middle Eastern sheiks again to provide us with that energy. A pipeline would be far, far less polluting, and safer, than tank car rail transport. Not to mention cheaper. We have thousands and thousands of piplines crisscrossing this country and they have good safety records. It just makes no sense to not pipeline that oil.
And we do have a crisis at our border. The conditions are atrocious. They cannot possibly enforce mask wearing and social distancing, and have not vacced any of these people. This is exactly the conditions described as leading to mass infections as these people spread through the population. And at a time where non-college degree jobs are declining and already low paying, we don't need more people coming here with little to no skills. We can't even employ most of our home grown low skill workers.
And yes, I agree with him that China is the primary threat. Why won't Biden acknowledge that? Their Belt and Road program alone is putting most of Asia, parts of the Middle East (like Pakistan), and now almost all of Africa under Chinese dominance. Did you know China controls almost all of the worlds trade "choke points"? It's buying and building ports all over the globe. And they have no good intentions toward the USA. Or most of their own neighbors.
And I also agree that the US military should be concerned with whatever it takes to be the world's most effective fighting force, not solving social problems. That is simply a distraction, and could be a lethal distraction.

I agree with much of what you said. see above.

and you pretend the dems aren't exactly the same?

and you pretend the dems aren't exactly the same?

They simply aren't the same.
If the way the Republicans are acting is how you want them to then fine, but it's a childish way to be in opposition and not doing the country any favors.

As conservatives, we have to personally, and collectively, fight back against runaway liberalism. Because the Fourth Estate has abdicated their job. They are, with a few exceptions, firmly under the influence and control of the left. Academia likewise. So that leaves primarily the working class to oppose this radical re-working of our democracy. Pray we can be successful. That's why a loud mouthed vulgar populist was our best hope of ever being heard again. The swamp appears to be winning.

that makes no sense.

I left out a couple I don't know anything about, but from my votes on the others it seems likely I would support them too. Until he gets beaten down by the left and starts promoting their craziness, I'll probably support every center-left thing he has to say.
