Do you remember the fire in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris - and your feelings then?

Maybe one has to be a European to really have feelings in this case? :(
Not at all. My heart ached to see it burning. But I like old historical things and hate to see them destroyed. Especially someplace so awe inspiring.

I've never been there, only seen pics, but I can imagine my chin would be hanging on the ground if I were standing in it.

I was conserved about the historical artifacts inside, but I know it would be rebuilt, even if it totally burned down.

You have expressed your feelings very well! (y)
And I feel like you! (y)(y)

Is there any empathy and feeling for this symbolic building?

In 2019 there were those who said: "It's just a building."

And I said and still say: "No, this symbol for Europe is more than just a building!"

Yes. It bothered me enough that I had trouble reading the details. I still don't know all of them.

It was years ago when I was in there.
And again I felt very moved and touched when I could see it from the outside in March 2020.
