This is the real question.

I had an ex girlfriend who was mexican, and she refused to buy any store bought tortillas. After the first time she made fresh tortillas from scratch, I could see why, those fresh tortillas were like an orgasm in my mouth, and I could never look at storebought precooked tortillas the same again. I just google recipes, since she would never tell me hers, but if I am lazy, heb and walmart here sell premade uncooked torillas, which after cooked still taste 100 times better than precooked packaged ones.

My mother growing up used to make bread from scratch, and same as the tortillas, omfg if you had tasted it you would never buy store bread again. The only problem with the bread was making small batches to get that fresh out of the oven taste, which is much easier with tortillas.

From time to time I make large french bread size loaves of Jalepeno cheddar bread to use for tri tip sandwiches. I grind my own hard red wheat. The loaves are about 16" long and about 5" wide. Mayo, mustard, thin bias sliced rare tri tip, onion, tomato, lettuce, salt and pepper.
They are a pretty big hit with the family.

I make bread fairly often, sometimes loafs, sometimes buns, sometimes regular shaped sometimes round, white, whole wheat or most often rye. Rye is my favorite!

I have an abundance of rye malt. I wonder how that would be in bread. Hmmmm

Nah, too much hassle.

You are mission out then, try to get uncooked tortillas at the store, they take maybe 30 seconds per tortilla once the skillet is heated, then you are in heaven.
