Do you know an "assault weapon" when you see it?

Which of the guns, below, are "assault weapons"?

Are all of them 10/22s? Either way, I have seen books at gun shows on how to convert those to full-auto, so I would say with that and a 25+ round magazine, any of those could be used as "assault weapons." However, if they are just 10/22s that people got dressed up I think they wasted their $$, in an attempt to make it seem like they had an assault weapon.

Personally, I would feel assaulted if someone pointed any type of gun at me with some indication that they might use it.

Well we have two successful avoiders of the question so far.

im goin with A, for the suppressor and field legs :)

I'll take B for 500$? What do I win? :D

It was successful becuz I felt that there was still something that wasn't accounted for.

Here's a hint: They all have the same magazines.

They're ALL 10/22s and not a single one of them are "assult weapons", nor could any of them ever be one.

Any attempt to convert any of these weapons to select-fire or full-auto would be a federal offence that carries a possible sentence of a $10k fine and 10 years in club fed. (it would not be easy enough for most people to even attempt with more then a very slim chance of success, either.)

My hero.

But hey -- they all LOOK mean and nasty, don't they?
And isn't looking mean and nasty all that matters?

Quite, but an assault weapon looks alone does not make.

If you want some REAL evil, start here:

STILL not an "assault weapon", BTW....

Dude -- that's SO tactical!

No being allowed to and not being able to are very different things DocAR . ;)

I'm not sure exactly what an assault weapon is... But none of those weapons have any buisness being on the street.

Mmmmkay? Why the hell not? A law abidding citizen should be allowed to carry whatever weapon they so desire.

What does constitute an assault weapon by the way? I like to hunt but I'm not really into knowing everything there is to know about firearms. The biggest thing I've ever needed is my 12 gauge bennelli

Hmmm yes...let's allow every American citizen to carry w/e weapon they desire. BRB gotta go see how much a nuclear warhead costs and see if there is any way I can mount it on the back of a bike.

Yes. Why do you have a problem with people being able to defend themselves?

Hmmmm no not really I just find it funny how you say every U.S. citizen should be allowed to own w/e weapon they want. Does that include drug dealers? What about gang bangers? psychopaths?

You cannot tell

some of the weapons -if they have a selector switch makes them class III weapons and not within the clinton assault weapon ban. You cannot tell from the pictures if the AK style jobs have a selector

some liberals and some assault weapon codes would include the ruger 10-22

assault weapon has been used to include all semi autos in some instances

what is the "street"
can I have one in my car as I drive to the gun club to shoot? what if a gang of criminals are walking down the street firebombing my neighbors' houses?

Read my post, I said every law abidding citizen. Please don't put words in my mouth.

I just chose the two I would likely use in an assault. That is, if I were to commit assault, that is how I would do it.

A law abiding citizen is an oxymoron. There is no such thing.
