no....

Boehner is a weak cry baby.

Nancy Pelosi would never have let freshmen congressman control the house like Boehner has.

Boehner has to have the worst job in America right now.

i mean as speaker of the house, the third person in line in terms of presidential succession, he is effectivley not in control of his caucaus, and any attempt to accomplish anything would require mostly democrats and some moderate republicans.

Yeah, because being around a really long time should mean something.

I disagree:It should. However, there's going to be a limit to which one person or a group can control another person or group in politics.

How? On nearly every issue he has to accommodate the Tea Party or else they throw a fit. If he does, he looks like a weak leader that bows to radicals. If he approaches the Democrats to reach a compromise, he's declared a turncoat. He barely got reinstated as Speaker of the House this year. And yet he has to stand in front of press conferences every time and act like he likes it.

Yeah, so?

If you work somewhere as a janitor for thirty years there is no good reason to treat you as superior to the other janitors that have been there for less time. You're just an old janitor thats been there a long time.

Radicals? Now you're just waaaay the hell out there in left field.

There's nothing "radical" about the tea party.

The fact that he knows his way around the machinery should mean something even for that janitor.
Unfortunately the GOP has been hijacked by the Koch Bros. and their ilk. They paid good money for those tea patsies and they intend to back them up.

Maybe not to the guy with the inflammatory cartoon of the prophet Mohammed.

Exactly what is the purpose of this time-wasting poll?

What would be great would be treating the position of Speaker of the House a the leader of the whole body of the House and not as some sort Majority SUPER-Leader. (Sort of superior to the Majority Leader)

Hell no. He's a worthless politician in the top 1% income bracket. What's there to pity?

No. He's doing all this stuff he doesn't want to do to try and save his job. He knows it's bad for the country but would rather have his speaker-ship than do the right thing. It sucks the position he is in with his own party, but he is not doing anything to fight it.

If he whole-heartedly believed not paying congress' bills was good would you feel sorry for him?
