See I just hate it when they tell people this sort of thing. You don't need dark fiber you need black fiber. Black fiber gives the appearance of slimming and it's versatile.

LOL... I should have known when that sales guy tried to sell me extra bits for my computer but then wouldn't tell me how to install them. I mean, do you tape them or glue them to the computer... He just laughed... bastard...

You should always know you attached components to a computer with a hammer and nails.

You can use a nail gun on certain applications.

Some of them even have waterports in the back so that you can add water to help cool the machine. People tend to neglect this.

The best thing ever is to talk to The tech Guy in your office about these things. If he's anything like The tech Guy at the last place I worked he has the greatest sense of humor and he turns red, grits his teeth and noticeable seat appears on his forehead.
 
I have no interest in the dark web as I'm not into conspiracy theories or planning crimes.

I refuse to only read and listen to corporate-fascist censored and controlled info outlets. If I have to go to the anti-fascist underground network, then that's the place to hear other opinions and see banned alleged evidence, banned voices and banned alternative opinions.

Have any of you explored the dark web so have personal knowledge about it, not just what the richest white men on earth tell you about the dark web?

Never been to the ultra deep dark web? If you visit there you are automatically a murderer. Every time someone accesses it there is a group that murders a person in your name.

I was thinking back to the days when you could just capture every packet and find out who was talking to who and it was trivial.. It's pretty amazing how much traffic has exploded...

Agreed on #1 and #2. Not sure what the darkweb and BitCoin have to do with each other.

The worst part is the bandwidth absolutely sucks. You might have a good 100Mbs line, but what you can get through from those networks is measured in Kbs.

Of course, that may all change depending upon how stupid Big Tech and the globalists get.

Ahh. Hmm. Yeah.

On one hand, there seems to be some bi-partisan sentiment to curb Big Tech's power, which I'd support.

But I'm rather skeptical in that 1/2 of Biden's transition staff and / or planned staff are plucked from Big Tech companies, so I think it far more realistic that not a single thing is going to be done in the next 2 years on this, and may even have to wait until after the Biden administration.

I mean after all, Big Tech is stomping out the Democrat's political enemies (i.e. anyone who's not a Democrat and doesn't think like a Democrat), so what possible motivation would Democrats have to do anything about stopping that? Regardless of how it damages the nation and the electorate?

DP is not on the dark web. Aside from pornography or abusive language, do you think there is anything you could post here on these boards that "the MSM" would somehow be able to find and remove? Has that ever happened to you? Have you ever shared a truth that you think the MSM doesn't want us to know, only to have it mysteriously disappear from your feed? If so, you should post it here so we can see just how powerful the "Big Tech Plutocrats" truly are.

This kind of thinking is ridiculous when you follow it to its conclusion. No one censors or controls the MSM, nor does Big Tech control the internet. The notion is silly.

It's through your phone through your computer whatever your accessing internet through. The dark web is just the internet. If I type in debate politics in The Onion browser which is a so-called dark web browser this website pops up.

The dark web just refers to websites that most browsers don't connect to. It's always there and you're on it right now it's just the browser you use doesn't let you look at it
 
I'm just using chrome on a chromebook and I just plonked US politics forum into google and this place showed up.

Seriously, I have the IT skills of a toddler at the best of times so if I can get onto the dark web maybe crime lords should perhaps not use it to plan the next crime boss meeting.

I thought the dark web was for people with laat haxor skillz (I'm old) who can type at 500 words a minute while doing 4 sudoku's at once?

He's a cop and, together with all his colleagues that do the same, has busted around 4 child porn rings in the last couple of years.

No, it's as simple as downloading the Onion browser. All the dark web is is websites that the most popular browsers don't go to. There's no alternative Internet it's all the same internet.

It doesn't. In fact the darkweb really doesn't have DNS in that sense, you have to keep your own list of name to addresses.

Did they catch a creator or just a group of middlemen? Generally speaking that sort of thing is done in other countries and images in such are traded here.
