NO, we are out, so no, I don't care, but I'm pulling for...............

That penalty kick goal they gave Ghana was total bulls***!

We did so poorly this World Cup, but I think the purpose of NP's post was to find those apathetic to soccer.

Well americans might not be watching, but the rest of the world is. The single biggest sporting event on the planet and the biggest TV event too. And its football, not soccer :)

Maybe they should change the name then, lol!

The US getting beaten out was only a matter of when, unlikly they had any ability to progress further then the final 8, if not even make the final 8.
I just want someone to beat Brazil - for once.

Ha! Soccer is too boring for anyone to watch..
To play, it may be somewhat exciting for the short run - it appears to be too simple minded a game to have much interest as a spectator sport..

This game need improvement, some more development - much as baseball was evolved over 100 years ago..
Is soccer a "new" sport ??

BTW, here in America we have real football, so the correct term for soccer is soccer ! In this case I do not care about the rest of the world..

The soccer games are nothing, but the mayhem among the people (the same ones who criticize the US for not "negotiating" our differences) is very entertaining.

Never was a sports fan......I don't see why millions of dollars should go to someone who kicks a ball while public school teachers get under paid.

Oh well....it's the modern day Roman Coliseum....I'd buy it on pay-per-view if there were swords, explosions and gruesome deaths involved.....

Personally rooting for Germany. Of course I'm not a hardcore fan because I'm an American--but this is a good thing after I saw there defense.

It's the biggest sporting event in the world, most of the planet cares about it. I don't follow club football, largely for the same sentiment expressed by Jerry, but the World Cup is something special. It's down to how easily exported the game is, language is no barrier, anyone can pick it up quickly. It's a highly user friendly sport, unlike American football, the hard contact nature of which limits it. Pull out a football and anyone can have a kickaround, kids, adults, boys, girls.

They showed what could be possible in the Italy game. America has the potential to become a great footballing nation, simply through the size of the population to draw athletes from, it's the attitude that holds you back. Stop whining about American football and join in the game!

That would be baseball as in widely regarded to be the most boring sport there is? Somehow I can't see that as a step forward.
