Do you believe that humans are naturally lazy? Explain your anwser.

No I do not. I believe that society in the past 100 years has declined physically, western metropolitan society in particular. People 200 years ago got a piece of land, built a house and farm, and lived out their lives self-sustained. Today the majority works hard so others can beneift and the individual can merely survive (atleast in the cities).

I think today we are mentally stimulated at a whole new level but are physcially slowing down. The more educated we become the more powerful and diverse inventions become that allow us not to participate in manual labor. At the same time though recreational exercise is becoming more and more popular.

It sounds good though, since we are all welfare collecting slobs....
Good job Major. The first step to recovery is to admit the problem. Now if you'd just get a job and stop drawing welfare checks for your 47 illegitimate children (some of whom are actually real), you'd be well on your way to becoming a solid tax-paying Republican.

So the south bible belt, has the fattest people, the lowest education, and what else? Poorest, and most divorces? Yup, it seems that way.

You guys are inspiring us every day!:2wave:

They have 25% most of the rest of you have 24%... not a big difference to be proud of lol.

But I must say that wow I didn't think that the percentage of people who are obese was that high. Not many around where I live.

Anyway no humans are not naturally lazy. Our current society and culture though is turning each generation lazier than the last... its not natures fault.

I just thought of perhaps the dumbest **** ever

The Obese Party of Americaa

They run on a three point platform

1. Universal Lypo-suction

2. Universal Electronic scooter thingys

3. No less than 2 McDonalds per block

But seriously, if we could get 20% in each state on average to vote for the obese party, it could do some damage lol

Here is the definition of "lazy" from dictionary.com:

1. Resistant to work or exertion; disposed to idleness

If this "work" is meant to be physical work and mental work, then my answer is a huge hell no.

Humans always strive to do SOMETHING, whether it benefits themselves or their society or not. We are constantly "working" to satisfy our instincts and emotions.

Even the stoner that sits in his basement all day watching star trek and playing videogames is doing a form of "work" with his brain, just not with his muscles.

If "work" is meant to be just physical, then my answer is a huge hell yes. Give any person the option to do 100 pushups for 50$ or 10 pushups for 50$.

I believe that given the right motivation there is not a single person in the world who is lazy. It all comes down to the reward of doing work or, in some cases, the reward of being lazy.

Just the ones that subscribe to redistribution and collectivist ideals.

Actually for the most part it's quite the opposite. Most marxists believe that humans have a tendency to like to be occupied with something productive to an extent, society will hold itself up.

I think alot of people are overworked being there means to handle it hense people being so stressed out and on prozac.Certainly alot of japanese and chinese students are overworked to the point were they kill themselves under the pressure.

So i would say alot of people arent lazy enough. Its all relative to what you perceive as lazy
