The following poll is based on this video:

In the video, this 1st Grade Teacher is participating in a Zoom call talking to kids Kindergarten through Second Grade.

This teacher is talking to children about concepts they are likely to have little or no ability to "process," as they are at an age where they hardly understand any differences between boys and girls, much less sexuality.

Yet S/he is "teaching" them that doctors "guess" a child's sex at birth, and while doctors are "mostly right, they can be wrong" in their guessing.

There are many problems with this activity. In the first place it is another example of "teachers" in K - 3 grades who ARE presuming to "teach" children ideas that a recent Florida law points to and appears to be occurring in schools throughout the nation. Moreover, this is a mix of classes, not just this teacher's class, which means other teachers in that school supported this "lesson" for their charges too.

But the main issue is this attempt to convince children that doctors are "guessing" a child's sex, a major plank in the transgender agenda to change societal perception via molding young minds in schools.

Biological Sex is determined by one's genes and is typically displayed by one's genitals at birth. There are a RARE few children born with physical anomalies cause by defective genetic combinations, but this individual is not talking about that. S/he is asserting that being born a female, but "feeling" like a male means that despite having functional male anatomy, the doctor "got it wrong."

Now this poll is to see who thinks "doctors are guessing" when they first identify a child born by examining it physically to see their genitals. Other related topics can include at what point after birth and what "tests" should be run before talking about "boy/girl/other" with the parents. One many also discuss the issues of allowing this kind of "education" in K-3, or if it should be forbidden until a point where children are considered old enough to understand the topic.

How do I know this is really a teacher and not some goof! Well actually I know he is a goof but how do I know he is also a teacher?

Provided a link to a source article indicating s/he works at Brooke Roslindale, a charter public school in Massachusetts.

Most doctors can determine the sex of the baby simply by looking at the genitalia. If baby has penis, it is a boy. If a vagina, it is a girl.

This method has worked very well for thousands of years! The best part is, this method works even if you're not a doctor.

I am 9,000% certain that when they teacher said "boy/girl" they were referring to gender and not sex. So...yeah. The teacher would be correct.

Man/male/boy denote sex.

Woman/female/girl also denote sex.

Gender indicates masculine/feminine characteristics.

Just because neither you, nor apparently a recently appointed SCOTUS Associate Justice can't seem to define what a man or a woman is...is only your own fault.

Did this teacher do a bonafide survey of doctors to draw his conclusion?

You can disagree with 'gender theory' if you want to.

Framing it as liberals believing biological sex doesn't exist is deliberately dishonest, because arguing against their actual beliefs is too difficult for you apparently.

The Blaze is a worthless, psychotic generator of pure bullshit, falsehoods, and lies
Absolute crap site that has nothing to do with news

Btw Captain, your poll options are a bit confusing not matching the poll question. I would vote I disagree that they are guessing.

Their "actual beliefs" are either delusional, or at best deliberate attempts to "confuse and confound" people in the name of ideology.

Thanks. So he is a teacher and a goof. Mind you the article does indicate this clip is out of context so the entire clip would be useful.

Good Point. I'll ask the Mods to change choices to "I agree," "I disagree" and leave "Other."

Doctors do not guess at a babies sex. They "assign" it. Then, later in life, the child chooses whatever sex it wants to be. It's all about biology, bro! It's science and if you don't get it then you just don't get science.

I wouldn't be surprised if male/female being a biological phenomenon will soon be pejoratively tied to whiteness/western culture. It's woke school:

Marisa T. - we measure everything that is ‘proper’ socially through the lens of whiteness. I believe in discipline for my classroom, but I’ve learned over the years that the ideal I’ve internalized is based in whiteness

We used to deal with people like that teacher much more effectively in our society.

Public scorn and ridicule often went a long way. Maybe time to get back to the
basics again. Shame on that teacher!

Yet doesn't science allow for mistakes in gender? There are cases where physically a child is born with the genitalia of the opposite sex and the doctor has recommended surgical removal.

Nobody believes this. At this point I have to assume anyone claiming liberals think sex doesn't exist is deliberately being obtuse. We seem to have a trans thread every day and this is explained every time to the same people. Every. Single. Day.

Stop. This is not a real thing. Go find better talking points.

This may surprise you, but many babies are born with genitalia that cannot be clearly defined as either "male" or "female". Doctors will always assign the baby a legal sex, but that may not necessarily align with their gender identity later on. So yes, doctors are essentially "guessing" when they assign newborns a legal sex, based on the appearance of their genitalia, and sometimes they get it wrong.

Define "many."
