Do you actually care about the Epstein files?

Do you actually care about the Epstein files?

I voted OTHER in the Poll.

On a scale of 0% to 100% for Care about the Epstein Files I place my position of Care at perhaps 15% to 20%.

Enough to toss out some one up comments, in passing, but not any real personal involvement in the issue or commitment to it.

I really don't know to which conspiracy theory you are referring.

Who would decide the guilt of any government employee who went to Epstein's island? You? The anti-Trumpers on this website? Another panel like the J6th kangaroo court hearings?

I care about promises made/promises kept, and the integrity of the investigation. There shouldn't be any reason for Bongino to consider leaving over this issue. Something smells.
I agree it all stinks. Given that there's no shortage of moral turpitude in DC, I expect that both sides of the aisle have things they'd prefer kept hidden. This has been ongoing since the Bush administration. Regardless of what might be released, if anything, we'll likely never truly know anything significant.

Epstein is dead so kicking a dead pedophile is rather over kill.
Only if the kicks were meant to kill the already demised pedophile.

But I am certain, sans empirical evidence, that, were a deceased pedophile available at a local Circus on the "sideshow" alley, that many folks might even queue up to pay good money for an opportunity to kick any such late pedo.

So there is that.

If they went to the island even if they did not engage in illegal activities they took part I'm the cover up of said illegal activities.

Which is illegal

Once again, I think that's a reasonable supposition. My point is that it's really hard to keep a secret like that when all it takes is one person with access to the secret to sell it to the Daily Mail or the NY Post.

I agree wholeheartedly with post #22, but regret to admit I'm in the third group. It's fun to "troll" MAGA about Epstein because so much of the movement's mythos and identity is tied up in there, and because their past association clearly gets under Trump's skin big time.

I do think this will pass and voters will eventually forgive Trump for being associated with a sex offender the way he seems to get a pass on every goddamn thing.

Unless it turns out to be worse than what we already know...

But for the time being, it's embarrassing enough for Trump (and his fanbois) just to have the old pictures and quotes floating around again and for that reason alone we should be milking it for all its worth. It makes him look weak, makes him look bad, erodes his gravitas and chips away at his support around the edges.

I hope, though it's a long way off, Trump's opponents can turn Epstein into a bankable campaign issue for the mid terms.

I mean the guy’s death was the cause for a lot of good memes, but I never really cared.

It's not necessarily "I don't care at all". It is more like on my list of priorities of things I care about, it is likely way far down that list,
Agreed.

with pages upon pages of things much more important.

That said, I actually care more about the blatant lies said about the list, the conspiracy theories put out because those cause more issues than the list itself does.

I think the list should come out. Any business, whether legal or not, has some form of a client list. That said, even if the list was released, it would not matter if Trump was on it. His supporters would simply reply, "Well, what was she wearing?"

When we talk about the people who Jeffrey Epstein hobnobbed with, we are talking about a very small clique of very wealthy, very powerful people who knew each other, spent time with one another, went to the same parties together. Even if they had "deep" political rivalries, they managed to put those aside for the sake of mutually-beneficial relationships, often related to business, power brokerage, influence peddling and, it seems, no small amount of satisfying prurient appetites, both legal (e.g., cheating on one's spouse with call girls) and deeply illegal (having sex with drugged and trafficked children).

In terms of the actual crimes, my level of interest is mostly stuck in the usual disgust from seeing wealthy people escape punishment for their crimes.

That said, I'm very curious to see how badly MAGA will splinter over this. One commentator believes this is a taste of what will happen when Dear Leader is out of commission....

I think you're looking at it the wrong way.

Hypothetically, let's suppose there is a list. When it comes to exposure, it matters not how many or how powerful are the names on that list. What matters is who has had access to that list and who might have retained a copy. Maybe that list was sitting on Bondi's desk. And if it was, some office lackey probably put it there. If they managed to snap a photo of that list, that lackey now has their retirement fund sitting in their iCloud account.

?? Do you think that the one thousand victims of Epstein dont really exist? Or is it your argument that since there is no political advantage here that you just dont give a shit about them.

Well I think its safe to say that Bongino isnt pissed because Trumps name is on there and he wants it out. There is some other reason.

I am going to presume that these physical files are being kept under lock and key in an extremely secure location. The sort of place one might find nuclear secrets, or just the kind where cases involving child trafficking and pornography are kept to keep it out of the hands of people with repulsive prurient if nothing else. The kind of location where if you are found with a cell phone on your person and you are anyone but the president, you are held down on the floor by some very serious men while another very serious man systematically break your fingers one at a time asking who sent you and why you had a personal cellular device or camera on your person.

So why has no one been indicted?

Yah I do. I want all the people in the pictures, videos and documents (the list is a deflection it is not the evidence that will be used) that the DOJ, FBI and Trump all exist and all three claimed they would be released-released.

It is important to pursue and investigate possible crimes including kidnapping, living off the avails of prostitution, , statutory rape, assault and battery, transportation of humans across state and international lines in commission of a crime, homicide.

For any Maga or Trump supporter after months and tears on this board posing as mortified of Biden and his son being criminals and Biden being a pedophile for them now to suddenly demand a cover up is a joke.

Justice must be served and the only way to do that is a full investigation before congress and the courts. Ultimately it will be a Judge in court,. not Pam Bundi, Donald Trump, what evidence is credible to establish proof of a crime.

If as Trump says its not credible than let the people and courts see for themselves what he now tries to hide.

The pattern of Trump hiding his crimes has worn thin.

This should be a bipartisan issue, period. The survivors of the abuse deserve justice. All the identities of the accused should be publicly released. If it was any other crime--hell even involving witnesses to crimes--they would be publicly named in documents that are never sealed to begin with. This kind of privilege for the accused has no place in our country and court system.

Wow. Where was this grandstanding and virtue signaling over the last 4 years? But thank you for joining the long list of leftists who dont care about the victims of Epsteins crimes but are only interested because they think they can nail Trump somehow.

I'm not sure why you would presume that. Think about how sloppily sensitive files were treated by both Biden and Trump. I doubt either one of them lugged those boxes of confidential files from their respective offices, into their cars, and then into their garages. They had helpers.

But we all know Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women and minor females to rich men and since they are, or have been, in very powerful positions nothing is going to happen and people will move one.
Indeed. But if justice for those women and girls cannot happen, at least it can possibly help tear down a corrupt and incompetent regime, and maybe even bring Republicans to the realization that they are in bed with a shit excuse for a man and leader.
