Do we really need to collect offerings under the blessing of god and goodwill to fund and build new establishments to worship in. I am a ministers son so I understand the offerings help fund the church, however a christian worshipping in a cardboard box is just as important as a christian worshiping in the crystal cathedral. We forget this though. We spend massive amounts of money to fund luxury creations however we don't fund the true luxury of the christian faith, action. We need to dedicate more resources to feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, and establishing peace in our unpeaceful world. I really can't understand a million dollar church in waukee, iowa being more important to its "constituents" than feeding our own hungry or helping the millions suffering around the world. we have become superficial in our faith focusing on attracting and not acting.

The Vatican is a coporation that fronts itself as a church.

People building big lavish churches are those same people that would sacrifice 100 bulls or a ton of gold to their god 2000 years ago. They think their God weighs faith and belief in money and possession.
