Do Conservatives understand what fascism is? Conservatives claim fascism is big government and therefore left-wing and ignore the fact that conservatives support big government in the form of big military, big police, using the government to promote their personal religious biases, etc. If Conservatives support big government depending on the circumstances, then big government is not an inheritently left wing thing, heck anarchists are the furtherest left people I can think of and they do not support the state at all.

Conservatives also seem to ignore something like the 14 points of UR Fascism by Umberto Eco:

Really easy way to debunk this "conservative equals Nazi fascist" nonsense! Conservatives support FREEDOM and civil liberties, but Nazis, fascists and modern leftists OPPOSE THOSE THINGS!

The Nazis had mobs of radicals roving the streets, randomly destroying, beating and killing people in order to intimidate the population to support national SOCIALISM! The American left have had roving mobs of violent radicals beating, destroying and murdering people FOR MONTHS, to intimidate people, while the democrats PROHIBIT ANYONE ELSE FROM GATHERING IN PUBLIC!

The Nazis DISARMED their citizens before they began oppressing them. The democrats are promising to DISARM America, first with semi auto guns, then the rest of them! But they support allowing radical leftists keeping their guns(which is proven by the fact they aren't doing ANYTHING about the armed BLM and Antifa members, even after they've used them to kill people!

First of all, the right support the police because it's their f••king job to keep their citizens safe from criminals, so that ALL citizens can FREELY live their lives.

The left now want to vastly decrease police presence, or get rid of them ALTOGETHER! In the last ten or fifteen years, right wingers have undertaken a well funded "all hands on deck/Moon Shot" effort to muddy the waters as to what fascism is, as their own affection for it has mushroomed to Uncle Miltie proportions.

This is how we end up with Republicans insisting that fascism is left wing.
It's a pathetically stupid defense, that only the pathetically stupid would ever believe.
Seeing as how they cater to the pathetically stupid, that's not a bug, it's a feature.

It doesn't even matter that there's no less than a hundred different ways to poke fatal ulcers into their theory, because again, the pathetically stupid won't hear them, and wouldn't care if they did anyway. They've been told that Democrats are communists, and that fascism is communism, and that's all they need to hear.

So there's no way they could be aligning themselves with fascism! (even though they are)

Didn't Bush push for the Patriot Act that gave the government more power over people's lives? Was not an attempt at social control? Seems like the Patriot Act takes away freedom and civil liberties.

How did Hitler '' disarm the population''? Most German men were encouraged to join the military and would be given guns. Hitler believed in a big military, as most American conservatives do.

I don't even own a brown shirt. I do notice that whenever I come across a super-patriot American, I can almost smell the fascism in the air. I do not agree with you that they are the "regular people". I support a group that will not allow fascism to exist anywhere in the world, ever again.
