Do conservatives think they have a right to power?

Most feel that it is necessary to protect themselves from the liberal majority. They are convinced that the majority will do them harm. It is, therefore, in the best interests of the majority to convince them that we won't.

Certainly a good strategy, but quite impossible when the majority (of whatever political persuasion) demonstrates that they have nothing but contempt or outright hatred for you, wouldn't you say?

Of course. This is why we all have some work to do regardless of our political persuasions to come together and undo this damage. Americans need to remember that they can disagree on policies without assuming that those they disagree with must have alien and predatory motivations that are dangerous to the very fabric of our country and against everything we value as Americans. We all want what's best for our families and friends, and we can all understand the motivation and reasoning behind policies we disagree with if we try. That is where compromise happens. Understand your opponents motivations, communicate your concerns, and work to alleviate theirs. We seem to have slipped into a partisan war mindset during the last few administrations, with politicians on both sides fanning the flames. Hopefully the next administration can work to heal this. I'm encouraged by what I've seen so far.

None of the internet warriors on this forum would turn out to be anything more than cowards if something real happened.
One should be a coward in the head and a hero in the heart ;)

I don't kniw if I'd say "the right" thought that way, but Trump does.

Do conservatives think they have a right to power?

When they won in 2016, they said everyone just has to accept it, now it looks like they are losing the White House in 2020 and many of them are screaming about unfair the process is.

It seems many of them feel like Republicans are not in power or they do not get their way somethings, they are being oppressed. They seem to feel they have a superior claim of ownership of the US than other Americans.

I think both ideologies think that. But dont they both have legitimate claim given their number of supporters?

Many liberals have already acquired trump regalia in order to disquise themselves for purposes of infiltration.

Trust no one!

I needed you to tell me that? I trust in God, all others pay cash.

Just remember, the more they appear to be a trump supporter the more likely they are to be a liberal in disquise.

This coming from the side that was literally threatening to "burn it all down" (and possibly even support a Marxist Revolution) if they didn't get their way this year?

Just as much as the Democrats. No moren no less.

Do you have evidence to back up your claim? If the system is so rigged in the favor of Democrats, why did Trump win in 2016 and why did the Senate stay with the GOP and why did the Dems lose members in the House in this election?

Do you think this election because you have proof it was rigged or do you think it was unfair because you did not get the result you wanted? If the situation was reversed and Biden lost and claimed the process was rigged, would you say he should get over it and accept Trump won?

Because the Democrats thought they had it all sewed up. This time, they cheated, to make sure it was all sewed up. They couldn't allow a dark horse to win a second term.

I don't want Donald Trump to be a king or a dictator. I would actually prefer another Republican as president (I've listed them many times).
You were happy to back him doing such.

Thats getting impossible. I saw what became the trumpist movement from the inside. I know trumpists want to do harm.

There really isnt an equivalent of trumpism on the left that has gained much of any traction. Lifelong republicans have said this trump party is irreparable so this bothsider nonsense isnt going to fix anything.

Ya know... Besides the open Socialists who would have taken over the Democratic Party already if it weren't for the DNC's Super Delegate System and the bulwark of corrupt old Boomer dinosaurs willing to abuse it, or the literal gangs of violent militant Communists in the streets, threatening to take over swaths of major American cities if they don't get the special treatment and free handouts they demand.

Really, I am not sure which I despise more; the far left 'We are enlightened and woke, therefore we alone know whats best for the unwashed and unwoke masses", Or the far right " Deus Vult" approach in which the so called moral majority believes they have a mandate from God to keep us heathen citizens on the straight and narrow.

Pretty much both give me the scratch.

Republicans truly believe that Democrats cannot be legitimate leaders. We saw it with Clinton. We saw it with Obama -- where they continually tried to undermine every policy and wouldn't even consider his court nominees. Of course, we see it with Biden, who legitimately won but they are denying handing over power.
