Sorry about the beard - I haven't had time to go to my barber lately.

7 Tattoos, no piercings. No pics available either. Sorry

This is on my left thigh. It's about 4 inches in diameter. The roses are my kids, blue for my son, red for my daughter.

After the holidays, I will be getting a second tat on my right thigh representing my parents so the generational lines will be 'complete', with me in the middle of the two tattoos.

Got a four-leaf clover on the back of my left hand. Relic of a wasted youth.

I want more ink, but I promised myself not to get any more done until my tattoo was either fixed or removed. Still working on that.

No piercings. Never going to happen.

Very nice ng! I've been meaning to get some ink for ohhhhhhhhhhh a long time. I just wanna be 100% sure on the tattoo design. Having a hard time :doh

How did that feel? I wanna get both of mine done, maybe after deployment. Why did you get just the left one? Did it hurt so bad you said hell with the other?

Torah forbids tattoos. In lieu of that, I have a blue gemstone naval stud that matches the color of my eyes.

btw... prostitutes in ancient Egypt had a tattoo of the God Bes on the inner thigh of each leg. Bes was the God of wine and good-times. ;)

I have a PA and a nipple piercing. The PA I hardly felt, the nipple was a
toe-curler for a second or two. It wasn't so bad that it would put me
off having the other done.

3 tattoos, no piercings anymore.

Thanks.
Took me 48 years, so don't rush:mrgreen: I'd wanted a tat forever and always a rose of some sort, but had resorted to temps, airbrushings, etc.
Finally, while in Savannah, a friend of mine 'kidnapped' me and took me to his tattooist. I'd had a design all drawn out but the guy said it wouldn't look so good, so we chose that one. Took almost two hours to do because of all the colors, only one section made me wince (probably a sensitive nerve, there's a scar under that). I'd swore never again, but it feels 'incomplete' without another to balance it and bring the three generations together.
Find something you can't resist, something meaningful. I have a nephew that just likes tattoos and isn't thinking of their meanings really. He's getting stuff that is the equivalent of 'mas production'. I also think they should be seen by the person who has them-those 'tramp stamps', things you couldn't see without twisting in a mirror and things no one will EVER see unless you're on a slab just don't make sense to me.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a PA?

Yeah. Ive heard the nipples hurt like hell (like one would assume). Should be interesting..

I am so undecided :\ Ive nagged my mother from the time I was 13. Now I am 20 and still havent gotten one.

I'm sure glad she never let me get one when I was younger.

I have my tongue, belly button, and ears pierced. Three tattoos and hope to get more. I'll post a pic I have later when I can access it.

I have a dragon tattoo on my lower back. Let's see if I can dig the pic up.

It's big, took two and a half hours. Hurt like a bee-yotch.

Wouldn't know, seeing as the sharpest things I allow anywhere near mine are Lee's Press-On Nails. It does strike me as a spectacularly stupid thing to do for self-expression.

Who said it was anything to do with "self expression"? If you classify a piercing
as "spectacularly stupid" you surely must have some astronomical adjectives to
describe circumcision.

If I hadn't loved the result, I could have removed the ring and the hole would
have healed. You can't say the equivalent for circumcision (or even tattoos).

Interesting. The runes look familiar, but I'm too lazy to research. What do they mean?

I don't have any tattoos or piercings. For awhile I toyed with the idea of nipple piercings, mainly as a pain tolerance self-test. Then I gave up that idea since my wife finds them repulsive :) I also considered some sort of aquatic tattoo to commemorate my first triathlon, but that seemed like too much of a cliche. I guess there just isn't any design I like enough to etch it into my carcass.

Tattoos and piercings are cool though. Like any other form of self-expression, to each their own - an it harm none. Or at least none besides the person being altered.
