It so absurd that this fit into the plot of book so well...ONE WORD -MUSCOVY !

Why it was banned: George Orwell’s 1984 has repeatedly been banned and challenged in the past for its social and political themes, as well as for sexual content. Additionally, in 1981, the book was challenged in Jackson County, Florida, for being pro-communism.

What is the Orwellian theory? “Orwellian” is an adjective describing a situation, idea, or societal condition that George Orwell identified as being destructive to the welfare of a free and open society.

Also, Do they burn books in 1984? Because “1984” offers insight to those under the leadership of oppressive regimes, this book has been banned and even burned. … This censorship began with Stalin in the 1950s. Recently, China banned all copies of “1984” in their country.
