Question: Is it true that a DM can sign in under any another user's name and surreptitiously alter that user's posts? I've noticed that thread titles sometimes change -- and have thought it funny, actually. But changing individual posts anonymously? I don't think that's right.

Now perhaps one could say, "Hey!!! There's no rules down there!!! Get over it!!!" Well, fine -- if people know. So, if that is true, I think it should be clearly stated in which Basement forums this applies to with a Sticky in each forum.

Post at your own risk in this forum. Your post may be changed to make you look stupid.

Are you sure that this was not done at the poster's request? I have no clue how one can edit their own post's (thread's) title - as only that post's content seems accessable using the edit feature, and then only for a limitted time.

Actually Mags, it might not be a bad idea to have this question answered. DMs (I'm pretty sure this is true for all staff) cannot log in under anyone's username and any alterations of someone's post is reflected at the bottom of the post.
