It is now official. Lohachara island, just off the coast of India, has been swallowed by waters rising due to global warming. This is the first loss of an inhabited island due to global warming. Low lying islands in Vanuatu, in the Pacific have now been evacuated. But wait, there's more.

As the seas continue to swell, they will swallow whole island nations, from the Maldives to the Marshall Islands, inundate vast areas of countries from Bangladesh to Egypt, and submerge parts of scores of coastal cities.

When these predictions were made years ago, the by scientists who made them were pretty much poo-pooed as Chicken Littles crying that the sky was falling. Looks like they were right. The effects of global warming are now beginning to take their toll.

Article is here.

Of course global warming is real, and will have some very real consequences. But the question is, what exactly do you expect anyone to do about it? You don't honestly believe that governments have the ability to stop global warming, do you?

It might be to late humanity might end sooon

and in other news, it snowed on the Las Vegas strip last week. ;)

I'd like to see some (and by some I mean any) evidence that it was in fact global warming (and human caused, in addition) that caused this.
