He didn't last time around.
His reason was that he couldn't because he was under audit.
That's just bullshit, of course. The IRS at the time confirmed that being under audit does not prevent anyone from releasing their returns.
But we never did see them, did we.

This is among the many things that now need to be codified because trump.

Any candidate for President should have to release their tax returns for the last 10 years.
Any candidate must not be a convicted felon.
Any candidate must be less than 65 years old.

Illegal? We have no idea. According to him, he has been under audit for many years now. We don't know what they might have found.
The point is that he said he would release them the first time he ran, but gave the lie/excuse - that he couldn't because he was under audit.
So, he lied. He could absolutely have released tham at any time.
What is he hiding?

Do they affect your life in any way?

You already consider Trump a liar so what does it matter what he said? If he showed them would it change your opinion of him in the slightest?

I've observed trump for many years.
I know what he is, and what he is about.
The answer is no.

The IRS can't publicise his returns. Only he can. Why won't he?
 
Why not all elected politicians, and perhaps those appointed to serve in government positions as well?
Maybe raise the age requirement for President so they won't be a lengthy monetary burden after they leave office.
 
They were released in 2022. And despite all the hyperbolic handwringing and shouting, there was not a whole lot there and everyone, including you, forgot about it.

It’s amazing how many religious types are ok with a guy who brags about grabbing women’s genitals.

Oh yeah, he was forced to release six years of returns, 2015 to 2020. His 2020 return was prepared by a different accounting firm from Mazarin, his long time firm. They dropped him as a client and disavowed years of trump financial statements. The company said it could no longer stand by financial statements from June 30, 2011 to June 30, 2020.

I wonder about 2011-2014.

I’m sure it’s all on the up and up, right? Sure.

I am pretty sure my car mechanic worships Satan but he certainly is a great mechanic. I do not make the clerk at the grocery store pass a litmus test before I let her ring up my bill either.

I like to root for the Minnesota Vikings but since they aren't all Christians what does that mean?

Of course, some of the most immoral people I’ve ever known have been Christians. Heck, trump claims to be a Christian.

No, no one is going to hell. People like Trump make me wish there was a hell though.

Seriously? To see what hidden interests and activities he has, that might conflict with his public obligations and other things that could reveal things of interest to voters. You don't know any history of how that need became recognized do you?

A president's conflicts are every citizen's business. It's also why every president in modern times other than trump has divested themselves of conflicts. Even trump pretended to in a lie his first term, claiming he had a 'blind trust' his kids ran., Ya, they'd hide everything from him.

What illegal things did you find in Trump's tax returns when you audited them?

Also, are you sure that you have authorization from Donald to disclose his illegal dealings? You know what he does to disloyal people, right? Are you sure you want to humiliate Donald in this way?
