You could be right. It was dumb of them to agree with any suggestions if they never intended to follow through. They’d have been better off just saying no to any investigation, commission, etc..The GOp kind of crowed and the Dems were upset by the way the Dems allowed the GOP to have what it wanted on the January 6th commission. Pelosi and the Dems gave into everything being equal, something no one thought would happen, and I believe that neither did Trump, McCarthy and the GOP. They seemed to think that the Dems and especially hard headed Pelosi would never give into what most would consider outlandish demands, but the Dems did. I believe that the GOp thought they could use tha to not only say no to the Commission, but to blame it on the Dems. I believe that Pelosi gave in knowing tat Trump and McCarthy would never go along with the commission
And rightfully so. We don’t need a $$ commission rehashing a out of hand toga party. The keg ran out to soon.
You and me both. We'll probably find out what involvement republicans had in aiding the terrorists about the same time Don the Con gets indicted in NY. Should be a grand ole summer.I would like to know more about the president's and legislators' roles in this "toga party."
Yes, blundering into one of the few public servants left wearing the R on their rump is hard to do these days. There are so few of them that they could caucus in a phone booth. The problem for McCarthy is he hasn't purged all the members of the caucus who haven't expressed fealty to Trump. Giving Katko the power to negotiate a compromise was a real blunder.

And why it was Mike Flynn's brother answering the phone at the Pentagon that fateful day and why they lied about it. It's hard to believe it was a coincidence.I would like to know more about the president's and legislators' roles in this "toga party."
Yeah, I bet you were fine with the investigations of Benghazi and the Clinton emails which had nothing to do with the our electoral process, but are against seeing who involved in the insurrection that happened on the 6th. If you are so in love with fascists, maybe you should move to Russia. And rightfully so. We don’t need a $$ commission rehashing a out of hand toga party. The keg ran out to soon.

150 years ago those who played in this “toga party” would have been swinging from a tree..And rightfully so. We don’t need a $$ commission rehashing a out of hand toga party. The keg ran out to soon.
At this point everything the gop touches turns to crap maybe it's best if they don't participate? The GOp kind of crowed and the Dems were upset by the way the Dems allowed the GOP to have what it wanted on the January 6th commission. lol...keep proving what we already know. And rightfully so. We don’t need a $$ commission rehashing a out of hand toga party. The keg ran out to soon.

It also clearly divided the House GOP, so that's crazyThe GOp kind of crowed and the Dems were upset by the way the Dems allowed the GOP to have what it wanted on the January 6th commission. Liz Cheney seems to be feeling very confident. It was so dumb of him to attack her before this vote, and now she is saying she will make sure he is never speaker. Also, she seems very confident a commission into the matter will be a disaster for him personally, and I believe that. He is very dumb playing this level of politics. All his strategy boils down to is making Trump happy in order to avoid being attacked by Trump. He attacked Cheney at Trump's direction, and now he is possibly screwed.McCarthy blundered into his own trap. He appears to have convinced himself that the Dems in Committee would not give in to so many of the Republican demands and when they did, they left McCarthy with his yo-yo in his hand.
The only "surprise" for McCarthy appears to be that so many of his members believed that including the Summer Riots in this review was stunningly STUPID and obviously designed to muddy the water.
I wil make a prediction. Even if the GOP wins the House in 2022, Kevin WILL NOT be Speaker. Sorry Kevin, you are too stupid for the job and you are trying too hard to get it.
