Yes it did. With the UK now firmly in control over its own destiny instead of being enslaved by the fascist EU, Boris was able to lead the way in providing much needed weapons to Ukraine. This confirms that Brexit was a good decision. Boris is also well loved by the Ukrainians and rightly so.

The UK has certainly sent Ukraine a lot of help and I'm glad we have.
The UK has historically helped countries under attack and long may we do so.

You do realize that the UK was supporting Ukraine with military stuff while they were in the EU right and long before Brexit? Article is a load of bullshit.

Nonsense, they could have done that no matter what. But without Brexit they could have done this without wrecking the lives of exporters in the UK. EU exporters are laughing their ass off now that the UK has decided not to implement the planned border control because it would add a huge amount of inflation and costs for UK citizens. But the exporters in the UK are screwed. Not only do they have to pay all the costs of exporting, their EU competitors have no such problems.

And who cares what the Ukrainians think of Bojo? They are not the one voting for him. They are not the ones who he has to explain the disaster of Brexit exports to and he does not have to justify breaking the law on several occasions.

This week there will be elections and Bojo and his gang of untrustworthy goons are trailing Labour by 8 points in the local elections of THIS week.

Yes it did.

Brexit had nothing to do with UK troops being on the ground training Ukrainian military forces from 2014 onwards. Actual Brexit happened in 2020. The two are not linked.

This confirms that Brexit was a good decision

Bullshit and you know it. You can't even argue the UK could go independent of the EU embargo on Russian oil as we get our energy mainly from Norway and our own resources.

Stupid thread.

now, FYI - that's how you attack a stupid position - you don't attack the messenger. Let's see if you can respond and defend your position without attacking the poster.

The issue here is how the UK acted swiftly to help out when the war started, so your silly little deflection is moronic.

If the EU is paying you to spew out this propaganda, I'd say theyre due for a refund.

Nope, not according to the article. Boris acted swiftly to remove tariffs for Ukraine, and the EU only followed after it got shamed.

The Ukrainians know a good leader when they see one. Its more than I can say for the EU and their Russian sycophants like Germany and the Dutch weaklings.

A moronic response. Nobody said they were linked so its clear you didnt read the article.

Bullshit and you know it. You can't even argue the UK could go independent of the EU embargo on Russian oil as we get our energy mainly from Norway and our own resources.

The reason is because the UK has more effective leadership outside of the fascist EU bloc is what enabled military aid to flow quickly to Ukraine.

Since you hate Britain so much, why dont you move to Germany? Im sure the pro-Putin rallies there can use another supporter.

Classy as always, and nonsense of course.
If the EU is paying you to spew out this propaganda, I'd say theyre due for a refund.
More nonsense and fake comments.

Great, you are talking nonsense again. The agricultural imports from Ukraine no longer had tariffs since 2016. The EU and Ukraine had an agreement in 2014 which has reduced the tariffs to almost zero before the war started. About 98% of tariffs had been scrapped already or would be scrapped this year or at the latest next year. So your comments are nonsense as the tariffs where already almost zero between Ukraine and the EU. In fact because the UK left the EU
The Ukrainians know a good leader when they see one. Its more than I can say for the EU and their Russian sycophants like Germany and the Dutch weaklings.
More nonsense and total untruths. The Netherlands has been waging campaign against Russia at least since the shooting down of MH17. Whereas Boris and his goons were living it up large with the finances coming from Oligarchs and Russians. So to tell us that we are Russian sycophants is of course absolute nonsense
A moronic response. Nobody said they were linked so its clear you didnt read the article.

These nonsense posts are directed at another poster, please don't combine posts from 2 different people, it creates confusion because these comments had nothing to do with my comments.

Yes, just like the UK acted swiftly in other conflicts... the EU had nothing to do with it. You seam not to understand how it works. Either EU members agree to act together under the EU umbrella, or the individual countries can act as they see fit. Case in point, the UK and Denmark joined the illegal American war against Saddam, and France and Germany and most of the rest of the EU did not.

If the EU is paying you to spew out this propaganda, I'd say theyre due for a refund.
You are the one who is trying to tie the EU to foreign and military policy of current or former member countries.. to areas that the EU has very limited influence on, if any.... unless the member nations agree that the EU handle it.

Nope, not according to the article. Boris acted swiftly to remove tariffs for Ukraine, and the EU only followed after it got shamed.
The EU and Ukraine has had a free trade agreement since 2014.... the UK was a member back then.

The Ukrainians know a good leader when they see one. Its more than I can say for the EU and their Russian sycophants like Germany and the Dutch weaklings.
So I have to ask.. who pays you to spew this pro Tory bullshit? Putin directly, or does he funnel the money through Orban?

A moronic response. Nobody said they were linked so its clear you didnt read the article.
I also did not read Mien Kampf and yet I know what bullshit there is in it.

The reason is because the UK has more effective leadership outside of the fascist EU bloc is what enabled military aid to flow quickly to Ukraine.
For the love of god, your lack of knowledge of the EU and general international politics is glaring. Not to mention effective leadership in the UK HAHAHAHHAHAH that is the joke of the freaking decade.

Since you hate Britain so much, why dont you move to Germany? Im sure the pro-Putin rallies there can use another supporter.
I dont hate Britain.. hell I am almost half British. I dislike the current Tory party and its imperialistic bullshit and its ties to organised crime across the world.

The world got a new Scrabble word so Brexit has been great for Scrabble players.

That's the most important thing about the entire exercise.

I dont hate Britain.. hell I am almost half British. I dislike the current Tory party and its imperialistic bullshit and its ties to organised crime across the world.

I don't think British people have serious Imperialist ambitions anymore.
There's certainly no actual desire to go and conquer the world as that sounds bloody expensive and like it would be an awful lot of effort and we just can't be bothered.

Just getting enough troops to the US to invade would cost a bloody fortune. Sod that.

I don't think British people have serious Imperialist ambitions anymore.
Probably not, but they certainly love evoking it....the amount of times Brits use the war or Empire to defend the actions of Brexit and other horrible policies of the current government is... mindboggling.

The one that makes me laugh the most lately, is Brits claiming that the UK will prevail the economic problems of Brexit or Tory policy.. because they prevailed during WW2.... 70+ years ago, where most Brits were not even born... so how do they know anything about hardships?

There's certainly no actual desire to go and conquer the world as that sounds bloody expensive and like it would be an awful lot of effort and we just can't be bothered.
Well that is because some Brits actually think they still own the world. They actually believe that the UK matters, when it does not. Time and time again at international conferences, the UK government is isolated or not even invited. The whole Ukraine conflict clearly shows this. Not to mention the "oh the Irish are getting preferential treatment at airport visa control" bs that has been floating around the last few days.

Just getting enough troops to the US to invade would cost a bloody fortune. Sod that.
Yea like you would be able to invade any country in the current state of the UK military :)

Actually, the UK military is going through quite an upgrade at the moment with the main focus being the navy.
We have new ships in the Type 26 global combat ship which we've successfully exported the design to Australia and Canada and the Type 32.

The UK is also building new Dreadnaught nuclear strike subs and we're investing quite a bit in autonomous naval assets.

Even the somewhat ageing Type 45's are getting upgraded with new missiles and a fix for the power issues.

All in all, a pretty good time for the Royal Navy and the Airforce are in the process of designing new innovative jet trainers that will also be the new Red Arrows display aircraft.

In the longer term, the UK is also teamed up for the Tempest fighter with Sweden, Italy and Japan is collaborating on a joint engine project for their 6th gen fighter.

There are reasons to be hopeful for the future of the British armed forces.

The EU is not "fascist", it's a Confederation rather than a federation
Individual member countries, still have the freedom to pursue their own foreign policy. That said however, Brexit has certainly removed several barriers on how Britain can behave on the world stage.

If it were "fascist", it would not have allowed the UK to leave - unlike the USA with the southern states in 1861. Do you call the USA "fascist" ?

And there's the debacle of the Ajax armored fighting vehicle. Maybe £5 billion wasted

I'd like to think Tempest will be a success, but I doubt it.

Hope you're right. My eldest son has moved on from basic training for the RN and will be off out to sea sometime this year. I hope he stays in for quite a few years and becomes the man I always wanted him to be.

haha, you already forgot the moronic bullshit you posted as an OP?

Since you hate Britain so much, why dont you move to Germany? Im sure the pro-Putin rallies there can use another supporter.

And there you go back to attacking the poster instead of attacking what was said.

I'm sure he'll do you proud.
He may even get onto one of the new aircraft carriers.

Hopefully they'll use the Ajax debacle as a lesson in not what to do.
The fact that they're partnering with Japan on the engine I hope shows the ambition to not stuff it up.

In fact, as a foreboding of what's happened in Ukraine - he signed up 16 months ago hoping to go into electronics and drone skills. Don't think he minds what ship he is put onto.

Hopefully they'll use the Ajax debacle as a lesson in not what to do.

The entire MOD procurement process is flawed
The MOD needs to order a handful of any new equipment before buying.

In the case of aircraft and ships, I realize this is not possible...nevertheless, all possible efforts must be made to ensure a contractor can actually deliver what is promised.

I hope to god, that the MOD doesn't perform some fudge and declare the Ajax "operational" after some basic modifications. It's a turkey, so grasp the nettle and declare it scrapped.

The fact that they're partnering with Japan on the engine I hope shows the ambition to not stuff it up.

Rolls-Royce are supposed to be developing the engine too.

That's not the hard part of building a 6th gen fighter aircraft

I fear we'll end up with an aircraft not much better than the F-22 is already - 25 year old technology.

LOL thanks for proving me right that you have no argument.

The Netherlands has been waging campaign against Russia at least since the shooting down of MH17
And nobody cared what the Dutch were up to since they never did anything. Even Germany and France were ignoring the Netherlands.
These nonsense posts are directed at another poster, please don't combine posts from 2 different people, it creates confusion because these comments had nothing to do with my comments.
They are quoted so even a little child can see who Im replying to. If you cant figure it out well thats too bad.

Yes, just like the UK acted swiftly in other conflicts... the EU had nothing to do with it.
Then why is Germany waiting on the EU Council to approve a ban on Russian oil before it acts?

You are the one who is trying to tie the EU to foreign and military policy of current or former member countries.. to areas that the EU has very limited influence on, if any.... unless the member nations agree that the EU handle it.
Because the EU are a bunch of weaklings, thats why.

The EU is an economic bloc. You need to read up before going into threads like these.

I thought it could not get worse.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh boys.
This is a debate forum, not a porn hub.

Appeal to the stone fallacy. Another moronic response.

Man... proof positive that you write words that you don't actually understand. You're not even aware of what I wrote, you just project your own behaviour onto me and throw out some big words you think help your argument when all they do is demonstrate that you are the one who dismisses others without actually discussing or proving why you dismiss statements.
