Little is known about the game other than being a mobile game with a story inbetween diablo two and diable three, however what I do know is this game generated such massive reviews, so much as blizzard has been deleting anything negative about it plus their stock tanked on the mere announcement of the game.

Let us not forget the ongoing joke about having a cellphone, been on most online games so far as a punchline mocking diablo immortal after a diable creators comments.

I saw this. It's almost as if Blizzard continues to listen to the fans, and does exactly the opposite of what they want.

Blizzard made a serious boo boo when they announced this game.

But they’re a publicly traded company, the stock dip is temporary, Blizzard said in a press conference after the announcement that they’ve and quote

“Moved their best Devs over to mobile”

And that they are working on Mobile Games for all their IP’s.

The fact that after the immortal debacle they tried to say “well were working on multiple Diablo titles” has to be a lie.

Because if their marketing team weren’t all high on drugs they should have known that simply dropping a 20 second trailer with the Diablo 4 logo at the end would have mitigated the entire backlash that came from the Immortal announcement.

But make no mistake, they are moving away from their fan base, they’ll make a ****load of money selling their **** mobile games in Asian markets and as long as the stockholders are happy, they don’t give a damn about the crowd that got them this far.

Yep. And that's why folks are playing other games like Grim Dawn and Path of Exile.

But mobile games for phones can’t reach the complicated features of a computer, ps4 or xbox game.

Oh that’s just me airing my grievance against the deluge of phone games that take well established brands of PC and console games and butcher them to simplistic levels

Oh yeah man it’s ****ing ridiculous.

But unfortunately, that’s the way these scumbag companies work, can’t blame them entirely, it’s where the easy money is.

Why spend 5-8 years developing a masterpiece and make a decent amount, when you can spend 6 months making a literal piece of garbage that preys on whales lack of spending control and make a ****zillion dollars for that minimal effort.

But big companies like EA and Activision I think are leading the entire industry down a road to hell where if governments finally have to step in (some already have) because their monetization schemes have reached such disturbing heights (especially the ones aimed at children) that they can’t ignore them anymore, their investors will jump ship and their collapse will bring about a chain reaction decimation in gaming unseen since Ataris demise.

Maybe EA is trying to tank the video game industry on purpose? But up all of the rival companies, shut them down, and then pilot the burning remains of the video game industry into the ground while chanting that they are number one?

That would explain ea’s stupidity

Mobile is to console what console was to PC. I can't even stand console games. They are each stages of dumbing down, and reduced performance. That's not where I wanted to see gaming go, but that's where it has gone.

PC’s and modern consoles are leagues ahead of mobile games

The fact they said they were moving their best devs to mobile signals diablo 4 was either not in the works or they were going to use the bottom of the barrel to make it. This would be in line with the activision/ea mentality of cashing in on a game companies fame to release low quality games cheaply made and milk the name sake for everything it is worth, before tossing the studio to the curb and finding someone else to do the same to for a quick buck.

But blizzard could have made them happy by saying diablo immortal was a side project for certain markets, and pushing diablo 4 as the main event at the expo.

Consoles have actually become less dumbed down, gone are the days of popping a catridge into it and hitting the power button. Newer consoles are nothing more than a pc that can not be upgraded, by the next gen they will likely be full fledged pc systems with optimization for easy gaming plus some exclusive titles normal pc gamers could not get.

The console evolved, but mobile gaming is extremely poor for matching pc or even console games, they are great for gimmicky touch screen games but lack the hardware and controls to ever touch either system.

The Nintendo switch seems to be a game changer

My guess is this game will be very similar to Lineage 2: Revolution, Darkness Rises and other similar mobile MMORPG's...including the microtransactions. There's a lot of money to be had and Blizzard want its piece of the pie.

I've played some of those games, though I don't play them on phone or tablet. I play them on my PC, using Nox. Lineage 2 was my favorite, but I got tired of it. If Diablo is FTP, I'll try it. I won't pay for it.

By the way came across this article, definitely had the best way of explaining to those not in the know, exactly what happened with this entire debacle:

Blizzard Unveils New 'Diablo' Game, And Fans Are Mad As Heck | Cracked.com

When a producer (who clearly drew the shortest straw) announced that the first new Diablo game in over half a decade would be a phone game, he made one big mistake: He said it in front of hundreds of Diablo fans who just paid hundreds of dollars to hear it. Because of some deliberately vague hype, fans had expected Blizzard to finally announce Diablo IV after years of waiting. Instead, some guy in a branded T-shirt told them their favorite company was taking their favorite game and turning it into a phone app by a Chinese company mostly famous for making cheap Diablo ripoffs. Honestly, we're kind of surprised the Anaheim Convention Center wasn't turned into a giant smoldering crater.

Had they put, even just a "Oh and we're working on this thing, we weren't sure you guys were interested but here's a quick trailer...."

Cue the "Diablo 4" Teaser they would have made a huge huge huge face save. But they didn't, they majorly ****ed up. (this is me saying, yes, yes I agree with you 100%)

All they had to do was literally what the “Elder Scrolls VI” trailer did. Generic background, flash a logo, fans go ape****.

Yup. But I know why they didn't. It was an economic roll of the dice. By focusing solely on the immortal release, they wanted all focus on that, they didn't want people to think about "the PC Game" and lower sales. I for one have zero desire to play a cell phone based Diablo game. They can piss off.

Correction: cell phone based mass-produced microtransaction click fest with a Diablo skin slapped on it.

Well, that goes without saying... :p I hate microtransaction play to win/play games

People seem rather certain that they are working on or intending to work on Diablo 4. Have they said so ever?

I'm a bigger gamming snob. I'm all about the PC gaming and consoles have been taking away from resources, and lowering the quality, of said PC games.

It wasn't so much the announcement of Diablo Immortal that tanked the stock so much that people are pissed that at this point they should've been announcing Diablo 4 and while this game should've been reveled in a smaller venue. I'm still going to get the game on my phone and check it out. I've been waiting for a good hack 'n slash mobile.
