Its obvious now that the Iranians did this purely for propaganda. Everything Iran and Ahmademonjihad said was a lie. Of corse most of us knew this was the case with the exception of a few liberal terrorist supporters.

They were in fact 1.7 nautical miles from Iranian waters when they we seiged.

Wow, none of you think this is a story. Im shocked ~ Sgt Rock

For some reason the article won't display for me. I have heard that there is film of their treatment, and it mostly consisted of pointless questioning and normal human interaction between the guards. The real point of contention, whether they were in Iranian waters are not is the key to the whole issue.

Article won't display for me either, but I had assumed they were in Iraqi waters to begin with so no surprises here.

Freed Britons say `confessions' coerced

By TARIQ PANJA -- Associated Press Writer

ROYAL MARINE BASE CHIVENOR, England (AP) British sailors and marines freed by Iran said Friday they were blindfolded, isolated in cold stone cells and tricked into fearing execution while being coerced into falsely saying they had entered Iranian waters.

Wow, this is so unexpected.

Re: Freed Britons say `confessions' coerced

I don't think that even the most uneducated, most fanatical Islamists in the world believed that those confessions were genuine anyway.
