If true, this would be no surprise. I've learned that whatever Republicans accuse Democrats of doing, they are likely the ones guilty of it themselves. Would not surprise me at all if this thug committed voter fraud.

Curious criminal case. Dual residency in common and allowed in Florida.

The Minneapolis Police Department does not require officers to live within the city limits.

Florida law:
1000.21(6). (d) “Legal resident” or “resident” means a person who has maintained his or her residence in this state for the preceding year, has purchased a home which is occupied by him or her as his or her residence, or has established a domicile in this state pursuant to s. 222.17.

So that leads to Florida 222.17. What establishes a "domicile?" And wow is that one a real mess:

IF he has a HOUSE in Florida and IF he didn't vote in Minnesota, he MAY be in the clear. Florida has a million dual residents and is highly favorable to them ("snowbirds"). It seems that if you have a "domicile" in Florida and another state, you MAY be able to claim Florida is your - or one of your - "domiciles" - IF you sign a sworn statement that it is - and filing out a voter registration card is a sworn statement. Thus, if on his sworn voter registration card he listed a Florida address he has access to - even if he doesn't actually own it - he MIGHT be in the clear.

Florida laws can be so odd he might not have a legal problem. A PR problem, but criminal problem? Maybe. Maybe not. See if YOU can figure out Florida 222.17. :2razz:

Members of Congress, including Democrats, do stuff like this. I seem to remember Maxine Waters does - a mansion outside the district and some shack she doesn't live in within the district. Real hard to prove where a person ISN'T a resident. "Home is where the heart is." :lol:

(Sorry to bother you with actual statutory language. I know most members, particularly progressives, really hate that. Most seem to just prefer summary political blog headlines.)
