WASHINGTON - The military's top generals have warned Iraq is on the cusp of a civil war and that U.S. troops must remain in large numbers until at least next spring. But if the winds suddenly blow a different direction, Congress is ready to celebrate with a $20 million victory party.

"If the Bush administration is planning victory celebrations, Americans deserve to know what their plan is to get us to a victory in Iraq," said Rebecca Kirszner, spokeswoman for Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

I'm so glad that after spending billions and billions of taxpayer's money in Iraq, they want to spend another $20 million on a celebration. How can these people claim they are conservatives?

In about 100 years children will be taught in their history class that 'conservative' was a word self serving politicians used to get votes.

Yup, more than a few of our troops are coming home as total Gomers, and the Bushneviks are getting ready for a $20 million "Mission Accomplished" photo-op and propaganda party.
