I’ve said before that Biden is Carter 2.0 and here we go. If this happens say hello to gas lines again.

"Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax." According to Khanna, D-Calif., and Whitehouse, D-R.I., the bill would levy a tax on oil barrels sold by large producers "equal to 50 percent of the difference between the current price of a barrel of oil and the pre-pandemic average price per barrel between 2015 and 2019."

The money from that tax would be sent to consumers as a quarterly rebate”

We have a great deal of stupid people in our government.

This is yet another instance of economic ignorance by members of the democrat party. In addition to a cynical political move to try and buy votes.

And I am sure this will only lower the price of gas, right? ;)

I'm not sure anyone here pushes more Fox links than the OP.

He must lay in front of the TV all day long.
So what?

No response to the stupid proposals of our democrats in congress?

Oh yeah, it was reported by Fox News so it must not be true, right?;)

They know it will never pass, but it looks good for elections. I do wonder if they actually believe their ideas. Warren seems like a true beleiver who thinks socialism works, but is it just great acting?

Want price even higher? Want supply even lower? Want gas lines? You’ll get all three with this democrat tax plan.
I think it's worse; they want more oil pumped and burned. They're mad that less oil is being used. It's crazy.

It seems too stupid to be for real but I think they really are as dumb as they act.

I dont think they are dumb, in fact I think they are clever. They know appealing to wealth envy works. I just wonder if they actually beleive the idea behind the slogans.

Exxon took in $9 billion in profits in the 4th quarter of 2021.

They aren’t hurting.

Are you aware of the billions of dollars in profits the oil companies posted last year?

I find it difficult to feel sorry Shell Oil

Big oil makes big money in the good times and barely survives the bad times. It’s the name of the game.
