The Democrats revealed their plan to take political control of the Supreme Court by adding 4 "liberal" judges to it's membership. Claiming the court is unbalanced in favor of conservatives. Does that make the court wrong or unlawful? Of course not. It just makes it conservative in nature. A conservative court means they are more likely to more closely follow the Constitution as written. This is what bothers the extreme liberal left leaning democrats. This is a pure power grab with a claim of racism and voter suppression based on the conservative view of need for voter identification. Voter ID is somehow racist. Yet, you must have and ID to access almost all government provided assistance programs. This requirement is written into those programs with democrats all supported. This is a radical move taken because the left knows they have a narrow window to force their radical changes upon the country. The goal is not "democracy" it is the repeal of democracy. The court is as it is at this time because the people elected Presidents who nominated the current SCOTUS members. A Constitutional process was legally followed and judges were nominated and confirmed. Democrats claim balance is needed, then why 4 new justices? Would not 3 bring about balance if that were the true desire? No, they aren't looking for balance they are looking for control. They don't want a 6-6 court, they want a 7-6 court dominated by liberals. They have a very moderate, in fact many would say center left Chief Justice who often votes with the liberal judges so they often won on many issues with his vote going with the liberals. No the goal is not balance it is control. Are the democrats willing to postpone the addition until after the next election? Are they willing to add a judge every 2 or 4 years until the court has their desired balance? No they are not because they want power not balance.
Lastly Joe Biden spoke about bipartisanship, working with the other side of the aisle. He has shown none of this. In fact he refused to address this question about court packing during the campaign. In effect lying to the American people because he knew Americans in both parties would see this for what it is, a power grab by the democrat party moving down the road to squash democracy by packing the court.
