The survey was conducted nationwide February 5-7 among a bi-partisan, cross-section of 800 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent. The survey was commissioned by The Moriah Group, a Chattanooga-based strategic communications and public affairs firm.
DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2007®

Heh heh according to Drudge, the survey was done by the "VA-based Public Opinion Strategies (POS)." You'd have to wonder about an organization that calls itself by a name whose initials are "POS."

From their website:

The Republican polling firm of Public Opinion Strategies (POS) ...

I thought the results as reported by Drudge seemed contradictory. On the one had, 57% supported "finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security and the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism." Yet 49% "call for immediate withdrawal or a strict timetable."

Maybe 8% think that the "Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security and the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism" already so it's OK to bring the troops home immediately or on a strict timetable.

No I don't. They are not an unknown polling group. They primarily hire out to Republican campaigns to provide them with data on public opinion. Even the Republicans need accurate polling data. This is the data they found out.

Have you replied in kind yet to the question you asked me?

Good point. The results are about what we would expect a Republican POS survey to find.

What question? You mean what I do for a living? Why do you keep asking over and over when I have made it quite clear that 1) it is none of you business and 2) I am not going to tell you.

In case I have been at all unclear: 1) it is none of you business and 2) I am not going to tell you.

They only asked 800 voters? Talk about pathetic.

In case I haven't been clear, where do you get off asking others what you refuse to divulge about yourself?

You chose to volunteer your personal information. That is up to you. I choose not to. At least to you.

I wouldn't think this would have to made clear, but harassing someone to reveal personal information about themselves is strictly prohibited on this forum. Cease and desist immediately.

Merely pointing out that if he is going to ask of me that information and then refuses to respond in kind when asked back that it will be very difficult to have further discussions. If you don't want to reveal it don't ask it.

Then you should have stated before you asked or better yet not ask it of others.

I'm not going to ask again.

You ain't anyone to be complaining about this. There are many questions on many threads you have avoided answering. Find something else to bitch about.

Piece of shift?:2razz:

One safe philosophy is this, "Don't believe everything you hear," and a safe appendix to this philosophy is "on Drudge Report".

What can I say, I missed you guys just too much to stay away. I'd like to tell you that I wandered into the desert or the jungle in search of enlightenment, not that's not so true. So I guess I'm back, and I'm here to fight for the wrong side, so sayeth the thread title.
