Don't get me started on him either...But what he is doing is NO excuse for the Democrats vacationing in Puerto Rico.
This has nothing to do with the O/P's alleged dishonesty or Breitbart's assholes. Red herring.
It has to do with unethical behavior and bad optics being demonstrated by the congressional Democrats.
30 Democrats in Puerto Rico with 109 lobbyists for weekend despite shutdown
Trump cancelled his Christmas and New Year plans. He cancelled his upcoming trip to Switzerland.
Haha! If Trump left the country to attend a gala vactioning retreat mid winter, some would be having a complete ****-fit.
They left the mainland in the dead of winter, to visit the beautiful sunny warm beaches of Puerto Rico, but nice attempt at tossing in the old red herring.
 I'll give you a D for your intellectual dishonesty but a B- for your mediocre efforts.
What part are you having trouble understanding? McConnell is not going to waste time with votes on things Trump has no intention of signing into law. In the meantime the Senate needs to use its time on the backlog of confirmations the Democrats have been slow walking for months. Their resistance bull **** is getting old. It's time they do their damn jobs.
Perhaps McConnell should stop playing toady to the POTUS, and run his Senate. Perhaps it might be instructive to the POTUS to note how many Senators support the bill sent to them to reopen the different departments of government that have been shut down due to a temper tantrum.
Perhaps McConnell is doing what he is suppose to do in running the Senate. Quite frankly if the president will not sign the bills what is the sense in continuing with vanity votes that mean nothing. The Democrats have a backlog of votes pending in the Senate due to their blatant resistance movement when it comes to anything pertaining to this president. It's high time they put their big boy and big girl pants on and start fulfilling their job description.
Where is it outlined that McConnell should refuse votes on legislation passed along from the House? It is amusing that holding a vote on opening government agencies is "a vanity vote", yet countless votes on repealing Obamacare were considered patriotic. I think you should find a pair of big boy pants for McConnell. He seems to be very very scared of the President.
Greetings, trixare4kids. :2wave:
With the devastation that Puerto Rico suffered during the 2017 hurricane, does anyone know how many hotel rooms were needed by Nancy Pelosi and others who traveled to Puerto Rico this past week, and were rooms available for rent? It doesn't seem logical to expect first class service from a population who are doubtless still cleaning up the mess caused by a hurricane, but I'm sure they're doing the best they can while hoping that we will lend them money to get them on their feet again.

That's pretty much exactly the post I wanted to make.
But then I said "meh". Because what's the point in posting to someone who thinks a vote to fund the government is a vanity vote?
Puerto rico is a party town. I guess they need to go to cancun to do some research as well?
Give me a break!
News Flash beep beep beep.
Republicans control the Senate, McConnell is head honcho. What he wants to bring to the floor is what will be voted on. Get use to it, San Fran Nan can push all the votes she wants to in the House but that doesn't mean squat because Republicans control the Senate.
You think Puerto Rico is a town? Interesting.
You are in no position to grade her until you can get your own grades in passing territory.
Trump's Plan B for the use of recovery funds is definitely a good topic to explore.
The House Democrats don't want their bill signed.
It's nice of you to credit the Democrats with the bill that was voted on. The fact is it was crafted by the Republicans when they controlled the House. It passed that time too. The new Majority party merely put the same bill up for a vote.
You have a Republican bill that was passed in both houses, that Trump had agreed to sign. Trump changed his mind because Rush, with his ratings in mind, spoke against it. So now we sit with the Government shut down because Trump can't trust his own judgement and bows to the judgement of Limbaugh and his ilk.
So there you admit it! Senator McConnell can do whatever he wants, and whatever foot stamping POTUS tells him, because voters like you think being a jackass is similar to being a good legislator...or president.
Amelia thinks to watch a Broadway play consists of a meeting. I would love for her to be my CFO. She would probably also write off massages as business meetings as well. I go to a lot of those massage parlors at night for "meetings."
Bucky thinks they went to a play and immediately left the island
