Democrats ask for $50 million for security

Historically, Milwaukee is well known for protests and riots. It is within easy range of radical left Madison and all of the massive population of the greater Chicago region. If they WANT protests and riots, it is an excellent location choice. While Chicago would be better to recruit riots and protests, Milwaukee is only an hour away and the Milwaukee police can't hold a candle to Chicago police in terms of numbers and fear-factor. Everyone knows - don't mess the Chicago police. They'll hurt you. Bad. They'll lock you up. You will not like how your treated there.

The old idea is to have conventions in a key state. I see nothing in elections that supports that premise.

But why would the historical left rioters, harm the democrats?
 
This should have been negotiated upfront before selecting the location.

Are you kidding? A brokered convention between Sander's team and Bloomberg's team - plus everyone else's team and people who then just want to protest about something? BLM. Antifa. 2Aers. Anti 2Aers. Prolife and Prochoice... the list goes on and on. Internal fights can become the most vicious of all - because they all can get in the door and every side has supporters. It is more difficult for a political party to deal with protesters of their own party.

Whether they are to be taken serious or not is another matter, but there videos of Bernie Bros vowing to burn that place to the ground if the DNC ****s over Bernie again this year.
